It's true I'm at work and lost comms to a bunch of equipment there.

actually just searched twitter and seems lots of folks are reporting power outage

Daughter lives in Cambria, CA (Central Coast) and texted that power is out. The power is also out in the entire city of Needles, CA.

there was a report of a skyking message out of Andrews, ....with russian chatter on the air....just a few minutes before this happened?....related?

My friend in Santa Maria just called. Her power is out. She's gotten word that Lompoc, Buellton and Nipomo are also out. Does anyone know what's going on?
Reports from Edhat subscribers:
The power is out in Santa Ynez Valley. It went partially out for awhile, then completely. Just heard sirens. Not sure of cause yet.
Power outage reported in Buellton, Los Alamos, Orcutt, going up to Atascadero and further.
Unusual night in Buellton. 15 minute brown out and now total blackout. Sirens heard in the area.
Santa Maria, buellton, Lompoc and SLO all lost electrical power

Looks like it started north and went South? Times are a bit earlier on the Northern outages?
