Not saying you're right or wrong, but just to add the 2008 crisis was mostly caused by over-leveraged derivatives trading mortgage-backed securities. OTC trading isn't regulated as far as I know? perhaps these securities were regulated but either way I don't think they were traded on stock exchanges

the markets crashed as a result of this, it was not the original cause. it is a casino yet at the same time it can be propped up to appear healthy and functioning.

only time will tell how this all plays out.
