Quoting: CuriousSeeker Forgot what part of the country you are in? But Brown or False Widows looks like Black Widows, but aren't. Also, Black Widows rarely leave their webs. They like dark, damp, humid, non disturbed and warm places. That's why people always see them in tucked away corners around hot tubs and pools. Or in pool pump sheds and especially inside hot tubs, like were you open the hatch to get to the pump. deanoZXT User ID: 66505870 United States 03/24/2015 02:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here is a good website. We really do need spiders. They eat all the other bugs that bug us. No pun intended. Best to use the cup and paper method, to catch them. Then put them outside or in the garage. Then again, it's okay if you squash them. In North America we just have a few spiders that are venomous. Also, if you see a bigger spider, and it looks to have fangs. It's just a male. Think of it as there balls. They are the pedipalps (male parts). Here is an old pic I took, of a Orb Weaver one spring. This is why we need spiders. That's a damned Wasp it's caught.
