Nope. Nothing that messes with brain firing. Little did I know, but now Permanent TBI and any psychiatric drugs are bad bad b o m b i n’. Do you use anything else to help aside from the muscle relaxer? If I'm asking too much please disregard. Just also looking for some solutions. My rheumatologist that I had been seeing doesn't take my new insurance so I never got my April appointment. I was set up with a new rheumatologist and was scheduled to see him this month but got a letter that they had to reschedule and now my appointment isn't until October! So currently I'm on nothing to help and have to talk to my primary care doctor about giving me something, anything, for relief on the real bad days. Such a pain in the ass. And the rest of the body lol. :\ ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Simple27 (OP) User ID: 40488826 United States 06/06/2021 02:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Some years back, when I was first diagnosed with FM, I ended up being maxed out on Gabapentin, Cymbalta and Lyrica. With each increase, the pain got worse. They even sent me to pain management for stronger drugs. Thankfully, I had to see a psychologist first and he passed away before my second visit. I took myself off all of them. All I did was sleep all the time. It's just me, but I'll never take them again. Not a doctor. I really appreciate you sharing this my friend! Very helpful to know. I worry about these prescriptions and if they'll do more harm than good. I don't even trust medicine anymore. Sad. What do you do on the really bad days? Just suffer through it? That's what I'm doing and it pretty much sucks. Most days I can tolerate it because I've become used to it, but some days are really problematic. I will say that I believe the keto diet is helping a lot, but with work stress being back, the pain is coming along for the ride. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

I will say that I believe the keto diet is helping a lot, but with work stress being back, the pain is coming along for the ride. All I can take these days is tylenol, because of my kidneys. I haven't had a bad flare up in a long time, but stress usually triggers it for me. Since my mom passed, my stress level is way down. Drastic weather changes will trigger mine as well. Ohio's weather changes more evenly than Texas, so it doesn't seem to be as bad up here. Mostly, I've just learned to live with it and rest when I need to. I know that's almost impossible when you're working. I wish I had better advice to give you. |
