When is the Christian observance of Passover?
When is the Christian observance of Passover?

Some may think this a strangely worded question, but I and many other Christians observe Passover as directed by Yeshua when He said "Do this in remembrance of Me".

He was not merely saying to eat the unleavened bread and drink the wine as symbols of His sacrificed body and blood, but to observe the Passover also, as they were then doing, in this new way altogether.

If this was to be done on any random day then Yeshua would have done this on a random day. But it was specifically done on the Preparation, or eve of the Passover for a purpose.

When He said "Do this in remembrance of Me", He was saying to do what they were doing at that time, observing the Passover.

The word "Easter" is not in the original transcripts, but the word for Passover is translated that way once in the KJV.

So, what day does Passover fall on this year, 2014?hf
Yes, as through this world I've wandered
I've seen lots of funny men;
Some will rob you with a six-gun,
And some with a fountain pen.

And as through your life you travel,
Yes, as through your life you roam,
You won't never see an outlaw
Drive a family from their home.

Re: When is the Christian observance of Passover?
Easter directly follows Passover,
and "Do this in memory of Me" is done throughout the day around the world via the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
Christ is the sacrifice,Mass is the bloodless sacrifice
and Passover belongs to those that observe it.

When March is the first month and Passover is on March 14 (1/14) it matches the Bible.

Oh you are using the 1582 AD Pope Gregory XIII calendar. You need to modernize your thinking to the modern day New Jerusalem calendar where March is the first month. It helps align things with God.

Remember God counts days from sun down to sun down.
So if you are to keep it as Jesus did, just before he was taken by his captors, you would observe Passover just after sundown on the 13th.

It depends on the moon and the barley and has nothing to do with Easter (Ishtar). But that's only if you follow what Yahovah said instead of your so-called xtian roots.

Re: When is the Christian observance of Passover?
the Egyptian Orthodox Church (Coptic Christian Church) observes Passover.

it comes before Easter.

The Egyptians were the first people to be evangelized, by St. Mark, after Jesus' death and Resurrection.

Their observances are very "Hebrew" compared to other Christian groups.

They commemorate the day of Jesus' circumcision as well.

it so funny to see Christians slowly turning to jews.

ive heard many stories of Christians realizing they are supposed to keep the law, suddenly they eat kosher keep Shabbat (with music) do Passover wear tzizit and pray with teffilin.

many of those fully converted to Judaism.

hashem in isiah says that many gentiles would want to join the Israelites under hashem's wings and that he would accept them but they must keep his holy Shabbat and the covenant (entire law of moses) notice he doesn't say believe in jesus but keep his Shabbat and the law!

 Quoting: Chuckie Joe

Jesus said, "...I am the Resurrection..." (John 11:25)

The Word also says,

"...Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the First-fruits of those who have fallen asleep." (1Cor.15:20)

Doing good from the love of Jesus Christ in us, according to the truths of His Word, is the evidence that we have His firstfruits.

"Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection..." [5:28,29]

It's these firstfruits the Lord is going to "lock on to" on the Day of Firstfruits and resurrect and translate all those who have them.

Now consider the following:

The Lord said,

"Whoever eats My flesh [the bread] and drinks my blood [the wine] has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the Last Day." (John 6:54)

The "Last Day" in the above verse, is the Day of first-fruits and it's observed on the 16th Day of the 1st Month on the Torah Calendar.

[link to www.torahcalendar.com]

It comes 3 days after observing the Lord's Supper on the 14th Day of the 1st Month!

For we read,

"...and when He [the Lord] had given thanks He broke it [that is, the bread] and said,

"Take eat, this is My body which is broken for you; do this [on the 14th Day of the 1st Month] in remembrance of Me."

In the same manner He also took the cup after Supper, saying,

"This cup is the new covenant in my My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, [on the 14th Day of the 1st Month] in remembrance of Me

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.

I believe "till He comes" in the above verse is referring to the Lord's coming on the Day of First-fruits!

On the 16th Day of the 1st Month 33 AD,

"...the graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection..." [Matt.27:52,53]

I believe that the resurrection of these saints, on the Day of first-fruits 1,981 Years ago, is a foretaste, a preview, if you will, of the resurrection and translation of the saints to occur, on the Day of first-fruits at the End of the Christian Church Age.

I believe we are to observe the Lord's Supper on Monday the 14th of April 2014 [The 14th Day of the 1st Month Year 6000],
and then expect the Lord to come for us, 3 days later on Wednesday the 16th of April 2014 [the 16th Day of the 1st Month Year 6000]!

Let us continue to hope, with great anticipation, for the Lord's coming on First-fruits!

Spoken like a true Christian. Yahshua was a Jew after all. Paul and Silas were persecuted by Roman Magistrates for teaching the Gentiles Jewish customs, after all.
