Big Pharma also intends for you to take them for the rest of your life. Post partum depression is temporary, that could have easily been dealt with rather than taking in a life long habit of popping toxic SSRIs everyday.

Yup. She just covered up a temporary problem. And if she can't get her drugs she will be in a world of hurt. She probably just needed help with hormones or even talk therapy for dealing with a big change in life.

I took one for ten years. 2 yrs ago I decided to wean myself off of it to see if I really needed it. My doc got so mad at me for doing that and also weaning myself off of my pain meds that she fired me for noncompliance.

When I took myself off of it, it was as bad as going through narcotic withdrawal. It was hell. I'd been off of it for a few months when I realized I felt no different a all.

You guys are the reason I took myself off of it. The many articles that were posted here about them got me to researching them. And when I felt no different I realized I didn't really ever need it. I just needed to learn to live my life, that drugs wouldn't help me.

I'm very glad I'm finally off of it.
