Please delete if I've done anything wrong posting this in this way. Quoting: lsutigr28 PRESS RELEASE - Cruise Ship Passenger Quarantined Belmopan. October 16, 2014. The Government of Belize was contacted today by officers of the US Government and made aware of a cruise ship passenger considered of very low risk for Ebola. The passenger had voluntarily entered quarantine on board the ship and remains free of any fever or other symptoms of illness. The Ebola virus may only be spread by patients who are experiencing fever and symptoms of illness and so the US Government had emphasized the very low risk category in this case. Nonetheless, out of an abundance of caution, the Government of Belize decided not to facilitate a US request for assistance in evacuating the passenger through the Phillip Goldson International Airport. A. More intentionally withheld facts B. Why the hell is anyone who was in contact with Duncan on a ship? C. If the person isn't sick, has no fever, or any symptoms, why are they being quarantined? So this makes it sound like she wasn't supposed to travel, but she did anyway and the US gov't was trying to track her down and get her back to the US. They even mention in the AP article "The government is working to return the woman and her husband to the U.S. before the ship completes its cruise." So they are so concerned about getting her home they won't even let the cruise finish it's next 2 days of sailing, she has to be flown back immediately? It isn't adding up! |
~kpm~ User ID: 34763230 United States 10/17/2014 02:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Reports tonight are that two individuals possibly infected with the Ebola virus are in Belizean waters. Local TV station Channel 7 monitored in the capital City Of Belmopan tonight, reported having credible reports that a couple from a Texas-based cruise ship presently anchored off Belize City, is on a ship tender, unable to return to the cruise ship, while being refused entry to Belize City to catch an air ambulance awaiting at the International Airport to take them to the their country of origin, the U.S.A. The television station in its broadcast tonight said Belize health authorities contacted tonight have so far refused to deny or confirm the report. The patient exhibiting Ebola symptoms has been confirmed to be a nurse at a Dallas hospital traveling with her husband. [link to belizean.com] ~With forethought and malice Whitless enacted an EO giving nursing homes immunity from wrongful death prosecutions, forced them to take in infected patients and is responsible for over 6500+ nursing home deaths~ |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 11330901 United States 10/17/2014 02:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If she was asymptomatic Belize would have never denied her entry... they wouldn't have had any reason to. Quoting: SoWhatWhoCares Belize wouldn't have known either way who was or wasn't on that ship. I'm assuming the nurse was identified and Belize was notified by US authorities BEFORE the ship had a chance to dock. It's not only about Belize. If Ebola takes hold there, it will quickly work its way over to Mexico and back up to us, and Africans on airplanes won't be the only threat of continued Ebola migration. We can't even ground flights, can you imagine stopping every person illegally crossing into the US from Mexico? The real question is: How many times did the ship dock from the time it left Galveston, TX until the time it was barred from finding a berth at Belize. |

One was on a plane to Ohio and another is going on a Carnival Cruise. It reminds me of Dr. Kent Brantly's "cure" and his tour schedule. What is this - you're either exposed or cured and the next day you're on the road? Something isn't adding up. Seems like a "truth is stranger than fiction" situation. |

Looks like Belize is not letting them off of the tender and onto the main land for fear of it possibly spreading. Now that's some good thinking on the part of Belize, kinda like they care about illness crossing borders......now if we could just get our POS fools to realize that. Quoting: Zcat [link to contagiontracker.com] Yes this! This is the main point to take from this. A supposed 2nd or 3rd world country like Belize apparently understands how to contain a pandemic, whereas our satanic leaders only know how to spread it and cause mass panic and death. Do not forget that Obama has already killed and paralyzed US children ON PURPOSE, via his central American invasion program, and via the enterovirus they carry. Ebola is just another way he can wreak vengeance on the country that he hates; the country that is not worshipping him they way he craves. |

If she had shown no symptoms why is she is quarantine and why are they bringing her back to the US? The max incubation period is almost up, unless she is one of the 3% that can go 42 with no symptoms. Why the fuck are these people allowed to travel all over like this after handling the Ebola terrorists bodily fluids??? |

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Obama administration officials say a Dallas health care worker who handled a lab specimen from an Ebola-infected man from Liberia who died of the disease is on a Caribbean cruise ship where she has self-quarantined and is being monitored for any signs of infection. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki (SAH'-kee) says in a statement Friday that the woman has shown no signs of the disease and has been asymptomatic for 19 days. |

When I opened the link to the ABC News story I expected it to contain some worrisome, even alarming, facts. But it didn't. The woman doesn't even sound like she was in close contact with Duncan, or in contact with him at all, but merely handled a specimen container with his blood. This sounds like a dead-end, big-whoop story. If this keeps occurring, the public will soon grow weary of news about Ebola and let down their guard. Then, a real threat may creep in on everyone. |

Now can you believe that, they put people in quarantine but did not stop them from traveling. There is no telling how many cases their will be. Tidette |

Actually I didn't notice that... because when I started this thread that small detail didn't exist. When I started the thread the only thing being reported was that Belize was denying a woman entry to their country because of Ebola symptoms. Check the original link. Then you'll see I posted an update that included the ABC news article. It didn't come out until later on way after I posted... There are a lot of holes in the story and we're all just trying to figure it out. |
