If you wish to check the noon shadow, choose a pole or post which is straight & at least 6 ft tall. Measure the length & direction of the shadow at noon. If you are south of the tropic of Capricorn, your shadow should be cast toward the north. It will vary based on where you are located. If you have no shadow or a very tiny shadow because the sun is directly overhead, that is very important info. The sun moves in an arc so your noon shadow may be very different from your sunrise & sunsets but provides very important info. The arc may be so extreme it could be opposite of your horizon settings. So it would be helpful to know if your noon shadows are pointing South or north. And how short the shadows are. This could tell us if we are closer to the sun. Or if the shape of our orbit or rotation has changed. So don’t let the differences confuse you. But those with no noon shadow also tells us exactly where the noon arc is directly overhead so our estimates can be more accurate since we don’t have fancy equipment.

But at least everyone is able to see the changes. The gov’t cant hide the sun but they create phony websites with false measurements & fancy animation to convince you the sun is normal. Especially to those not old enough to remember the original tilt sun positions.

I made a prediction in 2015 that the coolest part of canada would hit 42 C ... I dont often make predictions nut it was spot on.


This summer I think several locations across USA will experience temps of 130F or 54C which will cause thousands of (mostly unreported) deaths amongst elderly without A/C


2017 will be the summer (i expect) that USA in particular

Meteorologists invented a new word HEAT DOME for the 50C tempuratues in Toronto last summer ... There are 2 forms now of measuring Temps ! is the thermometer reading the second is a humidex factor caused mostly by smog trapping heat in cities.

The thermometer can say 120F but it fell like 130F
so 130 F will fel like 140F

The combination of the heat index and the wind chill factor are denoted collectively by the single terms "apparent temperature" or "relative outdoor temperature" or simply "Feels Like".

Ozone loss and increased radiation also affect the FEELS LIKE factor, so the UV index (radiation factor) is important.

In the 1950s 60s 70s 80s and into the 90s the above warning never appeared.
About 1990 (post Chernobyl) the Ozone crashed and sunscreen becamse a requirment to remain healthy outdoors.

Earth is heating up lately, but so are Mars, Pluto and other worlds in our solar system, leading some scientists to speculate that a change in the sun’s activity is the common thread linking all these baking events.

If you are south of the Tropic of Capricorn, the shadow will point south, not to the north.

Totally ignores the difference between local noon and civil noon. When the Sun is highest in the sky it occurs a local noon, not when the clock time says noon. Civil noon occurs at the mean of the time zone. If you are exactly at the longitude that the time zone is defined, then local noon occurs at clock noon. If you are east of that longitude, local noon comes earlier. If you are west of that longitude, local noon comes later.

Nope. The author of the web site clearly doesn't understand the paper being referenced. All he talks about is the longwave radiation and ignores the shortwave. The difference gives the net change.
