From the very first episode, viewers of Westworld are introduced to a variety of hosts, who day-in and day-out follow tighly woven loops. They repeat much of the same phrase and follow similar actions until the day or week resets, or they get killed by one of the park’s many guests. These loops were certainly intriguing to me on my first view of the show, perhaps, as witted by Dr. Robert Ford, because we humans exhibit behavior consistent with this looping pattern. But the series goes much deeper into the idea of repetition than simply showing the host’s loops; one striking feature is that Westworld exhibits so much repetition in scripted lines and visual screenshots across episodes and even between characters.

Is that a compliment?

The first sign to me is 'pressure'.

It is like a weight, that bears down on my chest and throat. The first time it became so unbearable I chose to tell someone, is just hours before what happened on 9/11.


We were sitting in a bar in the town I still live.

I still remember the moment I said..there was a man sitting in the booth behind us..

I said..I feel like I'm suffocating. Something terrible is about happen..and it is gonna change everything.

The man behind him, looked up at me in that moment, and met my gaze. I'll never forget him.


The next morning, after seeing the Towers fall, he turned to me and said, You're a witch.


We're still together.

I watched that not too long ago for ..maybe the..4th or 5th time in my life. No there's no way they could do that today. What other movies romanticized blowing, shooting up schools and poisoning their classmates? Romanticizing the villain too..Stockholm syndrome. This movie is eat up with crazy. Oh the woes her diary had to go through! One of my favorite scenes.

I don't talk to a lot of kids..but I use to. I was good at it, because I believe in people. And children are little people.

I took care of scores of other people's kids. They were all unique. I had to face a classroom of them, only hours after 9/11 had been blasted across the world.

One of my 5 y/os asked me what had happened. I had no answer for her. She said, I heard bad men flew planes into a building.

All I could say was..Ask your parents.


We can all pretend it is year-round Christmas or we can take a hard look at where things are going.
