Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

This has been a rough day, my friends. My mother passed away at 1:50pm central time this afternoon. I got the call from the Rehab place, but she was already gone.
Per my mothers wishes, direct cremation, no services, no wake.
She would have been 96 this coming sunday.

My middle daughter Elizabeth,who was my mothers favorite grandchild, and my nephew Matthew, helped the funeral home employee load my mothers body onto the gurney for the funeral home.
My oldest daughter Mary K, who was a part time care giver for my mother, is very disraught.
My youngest daughter, Alexandra, is in shock.
I told my daughters yesterday to be prepared to get a call at any time, but this was quicker than I thought it would be.

My 2 vulture brothers are flying in wednesday. I am sure my mothers house will be picked clean, but I do not care.

I did everything I could, and there was no more that I could have done for her, in any way.

P.S. My Dad was a raging alcoholic and homeless for many years after I finally saw him at his wake....Bellevue thought he had no family but was able to search his pockets and contacted us all.
I was never sure he was saved....BUT on the day of my Mom’s decease some thirty years later, the Lord gave us a sign.....
They each died on the SAME DAY....June 24th
That is the power of God dear Friend.

The building went up immediately and both exits were blocked by flames. She had no choice but to jump or burn.

So, so sorry for this tragedy on top of all else you are going through. God bless and keep you and your family.

Praying safe travel for you today in ice storm - not good.

I made it home safely an hour ago. Everything is coated with ice. I am just not doing good today. :(

Thank you for all of your kind words. My brother Kenny and I have to be at the funeral home by the Rehab place at 1pm central time, to sign the papers for the cremation and death certificate,Social Security notification, etc.I am driving to his house, and then he will do the drive to the funeral home.
We are under a winter weather warning from noon until 9pm today. We are supposed to get an ice storm.

I am not doing real good. I would be better able to handle this if my mother had spiritual help before she died. She refused all attempts by me and Kenny to get her to talk to a minister or Priest.

Elizabeth is a basket case. She was my mothers favorite grandchild. My mother spoiled her terribly when she was a child.
Mary K got drunk last night, and she is not holding up too well. Mary K's youngest son, Robbie, who is still dealing with the medical problems, is just devastated. He was my mothers favorite great grandchild.
Alexandra is still in shock, and is very quiet. She had brought my mother a latte Sunday when we all went there to the rehab to visit my mother.She always brought my mother lattes, pizza, and McDonald's.

Thankful you are safely home in that awful weather!

Sweety, don't expect of yourself to be doing good - you have so much on your shoulders and have had at the very least a couple of terrible weeks! Let yourself cry - it really helps! A good long cry. And grieve in whatever way seems best to you, for as long as you need to.

Please don't be hard on yourself and expect perfection, expect that you are the one to help everyone else. That isn't right. You can all help each other right now, as well as have time alone to cry, grieve, do whatever you need to do.

My dear friend, I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother. Sending lots of love and prayers your way.

You have endured so very much. My heart aches for you, but I know that He is with you, and that you know that.

To make you feel some better your mother did not have to a priest to become like the thief on the Cross , Jesus went to that Cross so we can come to Him directly even in last breath...
