Good News! - HPV vaccine reduced cervical abnormalities in young women.
Yet another study demonstrating the effectiveness of the HPV vaccine:

HPV vaccine reduced cervical abnormalities in young women

Young women who received the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine through a school-based program had fewer cervical cell anomalies when screened for cervical cancer, found a new study in CMAJ (Canadian Medical Association Journal).

""Eight years after a school-based HPV vaccination program was initiated in Alberta, 3-dose HPV vaccination has demonstrated early benefits, particularly against high-grade cervical abnormalities, which are more likely to progress to cervical cancer," writes Dr. Huiming Yang, Medical Officer of Health and Medical Director, Screening Programs, Alberta Health Services, Calgary, Alberta, with coauthors."

The study had 10,204 participants:
"Alberta researchers looked at data on the first cohort of women who participated in both the school vaccination program and cervical cancer screening. The 10,204 women in the study population..."

.
The abstract of the actual study:

CMAJ July 4, 2016 First published July 4, 2016, doi: 10.1503/cmaj.151528
Effect of human papillomavirus vaccination on cervical cancer screening in Alberta
Jong Kim, MD; et al.
"Results: The total study population was 10 204. Adjusting for age, vaccinated women had a higher screening rate than unvaccinated women (13.0% v. 11.4%, p < 0.001). Among women who received full vaccination (≥ 3 doses), the adjusted OR for cervical abnormalities was 0.72 (95% confidence interval [CI] 0.63-0.82). For high-grade lesions, the adjusted OR was 0.50 (95% CI 0.30-0.85)."

"Interpretation: Quadrivalent HPV vaccination significantly reduced high-grade cervical abnormalities but required 3 doses."

.
Another notch in the evidence that HPV vaccination is effective at preventing pre-cancerous cervical lesions in women.
Isn't it wonderful that there is a vaccine against some types of cancers and women may eventually stop dying of cervical cancer?

Have fun and be healthy.

I suppose the hundreds of sick girls who lay in bed in agony, because of this vaccine, at least won't get cervical cancer now, eh? Either your are a complete idiot , or you're a shill...millions of dollars of payouts are going out to the families of these poor girls, who's lives are ruined....even a female doctor who was one of the team who made this vaccine has come out and admitted to it being botched and unsafe. Look these up, don't take my word for it. Gosh.

Down here in Oztralia, Reality420 is what we like to call a "carp". Like most fish, they eat, shit, fornicate and consume oxygen, but what they are especially good at is "muddying the waters". Carp were introduced into Australia in the late 1800's and have become a noxious species. Most efforts to eradicate the carp haven't been successful enough, so the government is now considering the release of a herpes virus to combat this pest. You should not be concerned however Deluded420, I am sure that a vaccine to protect against this will soon become available.

I see a number of folks are upset with this posting.
I'll note that except for a couple they are all brand spanking new to GLP with no posting history. It's almost as if they reset their IPs so they could hide when negatively commenting on this thread.
I'll also note that none of them provided any evidence for their objection to the HPV vaccine whatsoever. It seems it merely boils down to -
"I don't like it! I don't like it! I don't like it! (stamping feet like a little girl)"

Apparently a vaccine against cancer is bad news to them.
For some reason they apparently like the idea of women getting hysterectomies and dying from cervical cancer if the alternative is a vaccine.

I would suggest not getting medical advice from kooks on a conspiracy website which has a disclaimer that states:
"DON'T BELIEVE A DAMN WORD YOU READ ON THIS WEBSITE!
...
We do not discriminate against the mentally ill!"

Some of the above have already commented.

I would also suggest getting medical advice from recognised experts and your own physician.

Have fun and stay healthy.
