Incidentally, I don't think the NBA should be regulated via affirmative action/quotas. It would no longer be enjoyable to watch. Likewise, I don't think ANY profession in the U.S. should be regulated by affirmative action/quotas, because: 1) It should be based on merit; 2) It will adversely affect society as a whole when the best people for the job aren't hired & promoted.

Having said that, if it can be proven that someone is discriminated against because of his/her race, that should be prosecuted and action taken to amend the situation.
