My uncle named his pug "Otis" after the dog in that movie, and I got a pug right after that because I thought my uncle was the coolest. I know that direct, first-hand experience is never enough to convince you guys someone didn't go back in time and change something, but for what it's worth, I have seen the movie at least ten times, starting when I was 11 and as recently as about five years ago.
