I have to agree. People today are trained to hate their parents for little to no reason at all. There are always three sides to everything. The side of the accuser, the side of the accused and somewhere in between is the truth.

They didn't have the chance to put him in a nursing home and forget to ever visit so they did the next best thing they could I guess.

I agree that today people are trained to hate their parents, but I disagree that there are three sides to every story or that truth is somewhere in between.

Parents get a really bad rap compared to 40 plus years ago. BUT, there are some REALLY crappy kids today and there are some rotten evil adults. I find no in between.

My mother-in-law was true Wicked-on-Wheels and even died on my wedding anniversary. Everyone who knew her, even her childhood schoolmates, commented to me that she was nasty. I was asked how I could put up with her by others. She was unnecessarily nasty to everyone. Her husband should have smacked her for her incessant yelling at him and nightmarish criticism, but instead he just went out with the guys. She never said a nice thing to anyone; just critical and meanness...even to her 98 year old mother, who was a sweetheart.

The woman was poison and there was no middle ground truth. Some people are just dirty rotten scoundrels who suck the life-blood out of everyone around them. Some called her an energy vampire. I briefly fantasized what I would have written in her obituary, but of course, I let others do it. I am sort of writing it here, now!

If I were to do a headstone for her I would have engraved into granite: Good Riddance Ya Old Bat, Champagne Celebrations For Us!
