Voting isn't about building a life for yourself or your progeny. It's about implied consent to the laws of the land and the political landscape of that land.

No one cares if you think your life is good and your children have a future. It's all about control over the economy.

That's what it (politics) has always been about.

Money and power.

Children are the future because they'll control the political landscape of the future because they'll live after you're dead.

No one cares how the Dinosaurs voted, because they got wiped out by an asteroid.

Eventually 18 year olds will be 30 or even 40 and they'll vote for whoever they want, even Chelsea Clinton.

This is why Communism/Socialism will win over Conservatism. Because young people will eventually vote for it after older people are dead.

That is why conservatism is the walking dead! Because communists have targeted and brainwashed your children. You were too busy working to worry about how your children were raised and that's why you have libtards with safe spaces wearing diaper pins as though they were battle medals.

The elite know their families are their strongest assets in building a legacy.

Rather than complain about the ideals of young people online and try to curb their voice, thus inspiring them to rebel against your ideals. You should talk to them about why they think what they think and change their mind.

From the sounds of it you should stop trying use government force against other people and start using your persuasion.

Hmm, valid argument... but I think we're all aware of what 'voting' is for.

To be clear though, I wasn't 'complaining about the ideals of young people online'. I was putting forth a counter to minds stolen, to suggest that people who vote be introduced to real life where the ideals imparted them don't hold water, to the realization of that.

It's too late for re-programming I'm afraid. But making them face reality first.... not too late for that.

It's never too late. A reality where they want their government to give them free stuff all their life paid for by their parents is precisely the reality they want and one they'll vote for.

Most parents want to give their children the world and I think you do too. Thus voting for the reality where your government gives your children a life where they can live in peace powered by a big government sounds appealing to most.

It is up to you to retort that reality.

Well said and indeed, I have faith that my kids will vote well and with a proper heart when they're old enough for such. But there's a giant looming in the form of a communist controlled media, public school system, and virtually every other form of media that flashes before their eyes.

Personal responsibility isn't an 'easy sell' even if the evening news was helping.

OK let anyone vote. Let them vote multiple times. Limit the size and scope of government so much that it doesn't matter who votes for whom.

Too arbitrary. I'd prefer a basic competency test.
Prove that you understand our constitutional republic, understand the idea of a limited government of enumerated powers and that you have a basic, even superficial understanding of current events.

When you can prove that, you can vote. Such a competency test would eliminate 95% of democratic voters.

If proper parenting was easy it wouldn't be rewarding.

It is the trials which make our character into whatever it becomes. Thus teaching your kids to thrive on adversity as challenges to overcome, will be what shapes them into what you hope they'll be one day.

Voting should be allowed for only folks with skin in the game. If you are not a land owner then you ability to vote ought to be restricted. Why should freeloaders be allowed to cast a vote to increase taxes on producers? That is just the same as stealing. And I do not see 21 as to young an age to vote. Eighteen year olds do not have the ability to own land nor have the emotional capability to cast a thoughtful vote.

But since the Democrats want to have every criminal, illegal, and 16Yo cast a vote, then that will be what the PTB want to happen.

If you can pass the test by correctly answering a few questions about the various candidates, you’ve proved you’re an informed and qualified voter and you then get your voter card. Simple.

There will be those who are in comas, are brain dead, etc etc who are otherwise incapable of taking the test and actually casting their vote. Technically they have the right to vote as is today, but the reality is if they cannot cast their vote, or in some cases even speak or understand any political concept, who is actually doing their vote?

Someone who technically gets to vote twice! Think about it, if someone is retarded and cannot function and someone has to vote for them, well, that’s two votes since the caregiver or whoever is really the one choosing.
