Pray for all in harms way. Especially the idiots whom won't leave. Mayor stated today, this is their last chance.

He will not endanger any more people on those that refused to leave.

I've heard rescue people ordered to turn around due to fast moving lava starting to block roads. I've also hear grown men crying, while trying so hard to get to some who've called for aid. So many calls for heart attacks/chest pains, trouble breathing.

Some police are so hoarse you can hardly understand them.

So heart breaking no matter how you look at it.

Yes it is terrible to realize that they put themselves needlessly in harms way, all the while the situation is escalating.

When I heard them say to be prepared to leave on a moments notice I chuckled. If it blows, isn't that exactly how you will go?

OP have you seen any pics or film from today on the Geothermal plant? And five stars!!

Probably some of them also saw themselves as trapped between a rock and a hard place. Not a whole lot of social connections, a lack of desire to bother people, including friends and family, not set up for (or wanting) homeless visitors.

A financial domino effect too, where losing a residence will destroy an already modest household budget.

Makes me think of the old guy who lived for decades in the shadow of Mt St Helens. He knew there was no option for him beyond staying put and allowing nature to take its course. A form of preferring a "lethal injection" to the horrors of a sadistic, painful "cancer."

Saved. To be honest, I really am coming to the state of mind, we have a case of selective media blackout in the works.

From the last few pages on the Monster Thread on this event, a few people from FB have posted some pics. But, as far as the power plant I only saw one short vid posted by a military helo operator, that has since had the power plant part of it scrubbed out. I'll keep looking!

As of 9:53 PM HST, the Fissure 8 lava flow front had advanced across agricultural land to within 1.1 miles of Four Corners (Highway 132/137 intersection).

Only way out after it crosses is boat, air, or 4x4.

In Yer Neck. Please don't apologize for anything.

I've been reading all of your valuable info you have been posting, in multiple volcano threads.

With the obvious black out on current information, due to fear of dwindling tourist dollars. It's up to people to try their best to help everyone, with any new up to date info.

You are much appreciated!

Sick vultures!

There is "Special Karma" reserved for subhumans like them.

I've been listening to the police scanner. They are really pissed off with the looters pretending to be police, going door to door telling people to leave immediately. Then coming back to loot later.

The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round.

Oh look! Here comes the Karma Bus.
