The media has been pushing hurricane doom for 3 days straight now.

Katrina was a Cat 2 as was Harvey. It's the slow churn that matters most. This storm is gonna be nasty. That's real. Trust me, I'm a Cat Adjuster. LOL. seriously, though. It can still be VERY bad even at Cat 1 if it stalls out and churns for a long time. And, I really am a Cat Adjuster. I'm heading there Friday. Its a two day trip for me from Texas.

Ill tell you what happen. Somebody just did a storm dampening agent into the eye. It had the effect to drop the storm but killed the flow of atmospheric electrons for thousands of miles of jet stream.

The storm will build twice as strong and slow down a bit. Massive rainfall and the steering engine is gone.

Yeah, I was watching the news early today and they were talking about how this hurricane was gonna be the most powerful one since the 1950's to hit the Carolina's.

Another article linked Hurricane Florence to global warming somehow.

It's all crap. They don't know.

New Orleans is BELOW sea level. That's why Katrina was so devastating. Wherever Hurricane Florence makes landfall will not have that problem.

That is true about New Orleans. But the coast of the Carolinas is itself flat, swampy and close to sea level. A lot of rain could be a big problem.

A lot of the structures along the coast are built to handle winds.... a roof or sign might get damaged.

Can't do much to stop the flooding though.

or even a tropical storm. If it slows down as much as they say it is, it may be nothing by the time it gets there. They kept saying all day today, it was going to have major strengthening overnight. That isn't happening. They even said it would make it up to a high cat 4 overnight. A bunch of hype for all the stores there to make money.
