Whatever they are... they sure seem to like the southeastern limb for whatever reason.

That is not a "they" nor does it have a preference, it's a bit of dust or debris in the imaging system improperly being subtracted by the flat field calibration process. If you claim to have a college education in this, shouldn't you know how to process the data from the original raw fits files?

I never claimed to have a degree in space-tardin'- merely filling-up some requirements.

Neither do I, but I also took several courses in it. I at least learned about FITS and the importance of it as opposed to JPG preview images.

Great, but what I just showed isn't based on opinion, it's a fact that the "anomaly" you were pointing to there was just an effect of the flat field subtraction. I recreated it myself and demonstrated what was causing it. I'm not basing my argument on the completion of a degree, I'm basing it on the facts.

Fine, but your original point in this thread is... uh, what was that point again?

Seriously, the OP (and others) are of the opinion that this entire thing in NM is strange, and there now appears some support for that position. I posted some strange solar anomaly vids.

Why digress? What do you think is the reason for now seemingly multiple solar observation posts going down, or is it fake news?

What is your explanation for the 'cosmic rays' one (first one)- or... this one?

No, you posted old videos of known things like flat field subtraction errors that have nothing to do with the story in NM, and despite me posting multiple videos debunking it multiple times you still refuse to admit what the deal was with that. So whatever.
Why digress? What do you think is the reason for now seemingly multiple solar observation posts going down, or is it fake news?
 Quoting: Nero

You mean multiple webcams? At any given time there's probably at least a dozen observatory related webcams down somewhere in the world. Confirmation bias is a powerful thing.

Crappy iPhone video of what could be anything followed by the same old crap regarding the double eclipse witnessed by SDO.

All that 'stuff'... is stuff.

Gods know what they are seeing up there currently. I own a solar telescope, but it is useless to discern coronal stuff. In fact, i cant remember ever having seen less going on- no surface features or prominence whatsoever... nuthin in the last few days.

Astro you took the time to show me answers to all the questions I had, I really appreciate that. Speaking of last minute disclosure did anyone see AHS Apocolypse?

Yeah... so nevermind that there are massive alien craft/entities buzzing it all day like a moth to flame- for reasons unknown.

You haven't shown that. You have however shown that you don't know the first thing about processing astronomical image data or calibrating them with flat fields.

Just did a quick look around about that Sydney webcam.

From link ...
[link to www.onlinewebcameras.com]

Live view – AXIS 232D Network Dome Camera

This telescope webcam is located in Sydney, Australia. It is a a PTZ webcam but appears to only let you view the observatory and not view through the telescope. Ah well.

View Live Webcam: Live view – AXIS 232D Network Dome Camera

So nothing mysterious about the Sydney webcam as it doesn't show sky activity at all just the Observatory surrounds.

You guys/gals all realize you will NOT be permitted to realize what the nature of an ongoing destruction event is if that's actually what is in progress atm. Worldwide chaos will occur within hours of disclosure so trust me....we will all be conveniently left in the dark until it's so blatantly late and impossible to deny that the end is upon us. We all better hope that it's only some foreign hackers messing with us. If on the other hand it's a rapid breakdown of our sun or some other SHTF event it's probably better we don't know and can enjoy a few more weeks of life.
