Online Accounts being hacked | |
Q33 User ID: 76854284 Canada 10/05/2018 10:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So, for the past two weeks I have been battling hacked accounts. My email, amazon, hubby's xbox live, airbnb, and facebook have all been hacked. They change passwords, add random "users" (no idea who they are). It's been a real pisser. I ended up changing all passwords to something long and obnixious. But GLP has not been hacked. Anyone else having this issue? Quoting: Southern OR Nope! |
rockstar101 User ID: 39914443 United States 10/05/2018 10:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | GLP won't be hacked because it's a US military website. Unless there's an intentional inside job, this place is safe. When the one great scorer comes to write against your name, he writes not that you won or lost but how you played the game. The stance and stare of a wolf you find yourself alone with will tell you that he is prepared to treat you as you would treat him. Whether that comforts or frightens you, he has told you all you need know about both. |

Louis in Richmond That is my arm now; broken for 7 months User ID: 74136091 United States 10/05/2018 10:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No, but the solution is not something palatable to most CT forum users. Microsoft and Google require TFA [Triple Factor Authentication] to allow an unknown device to access my accounts. I can open an MS web page, log in, then I am prompted to approve "Authentication request XYZ123" <--[some random sequence] on my phone. My phone must be near me, I must enter my Android password, I must submit my fingerprint, then I must approve the authentication request which requires a different password to access. Once I do all of that the web page opens instantly. Very secure, but not very convenient. I don't answer calls that I don't recognize and I block them. But, within an hour or two a slight variation of the number is calling back. Blocked those as well. I've phone searched the numbers and it appears to be scam IRS callers with false claims trying to get personal info....from what google says. I'm betting the OP is part of the 50million Facebook hack that just happened and his info is considered hot and already sold. That or he's been posting to groups on the internet and chose the wrong group above his skillset and is being doxxed and ferreted. And he keeps going back. DeplorableRedDog |

Someone got into my instagram account which I NEVER use thankfully and just signed up for once for a contest entry. But anyways they went and tried to remove my phone number and change security question etc haha But Instragram's system basically knows what hacker behavior looks like and basically just sent me an email saying to click this link to get in the account and it didn't make me even prove anything. LOL It was pretty funny actually all the effort they put in to getting into it and trying to clear out 2nd auth info only to have Instagram just basically flip them a bird and send me a simple link to just go back in and change the PW with no issues. |
