Hasn't some serious doom been predicted to happen by now, like several predictions?

Nothing ever happens.

Doom is occurring every day in slow, small increments.

We're all frogs in a pot, but almost nobody looks around and realizes it. Those that do, try as they might, are helpless to make the rest see the truth of it.

I get your comment, I really do. There is infinitely more evil stuff happening daily, more and more, worse and worse details.

I know much of this stuff has happened forever (nothing new under the sun) but it is now common place and in our faces.

I don't want a lot of death and destruction but humankind is spiralling into a dark place very fast and fortunately I know how the story ends for the good guys.

Guess I'm just tired of seeing so much suffering.
