It was spaying vaporized gasoline into the air. The result was predictable. With people that stupid, I would bet the ignition source was a cigarette, or a lighter.

Well you can be sure that whoever lit that cigarette is still there on scene .... justice of some sort i suppose.

I can think of at least one occasion in Uganda, while I was there. Dozens of motorcycle drivers were following a tanker truck that was leaking, trying to fill water bottles and jerry cans. It's quite tragic but one can't help but chuckle as they shake their head.

My Mexican husband just showed me this....the pictures and video are very graphic and i had to turn away. Most of them are commenting what idiots they were.

You can be poor and still have morals. Stealing food and medicine is one thing, risking your life for a little contaminated gasoline is another. Personally, I don't delight in the ignorance of others, but it's hard not to make fun of stupidity when it's coupled with greed. None of the people stealing gasoline looked sick or hungry. Still, I wish they had been busted by the cops/military instead of paying with their lives or health.
