What are you doing about horrendous PTSD (besides collecting in it)?

If I told you how to fix it, would you? Unlike the physical therapy you avoid, it costs taxpayers nothing.

Check your cortisol. Don’t let doc tell you “normal”. Check the number. Find natural means to get that number into the optimal range. Tell me if PTSD is still “horrendous” or just some quick reflexes and smart instincts.

PTSD saved my sweet bippy AGAIN two years ago. I don’t think it’s “horrendous” and I’ve never felt sorry for myself. Even when I was so depressed I didn’t think I’d see fifty I knew I became such a pain in the ass doing what was right and doing what (and whom!) I loved.

It’s only shitstorm when you deplete cortisol. Keep cortisol optimal and you get back control over arousal. There’s a lot you can do alone (without therapist or doctors).

Women with PTSD get low progesterone in midlife. It makes us whiny. Thirty dollars a month for a good progesterone replacement..

Post traumatic stress changes are very real. It’s called growing up. The world is not safe and adults aren’t meant to believe it is. I don’t know about you, but men without the reflexes and hypervigilance, men who still fear death, seem awfully boyish to me. PTSD is just adulthood with hormone imbalance. It’s not “horrendous” ffs, to know about life.

I begged and cried and raged and bullied trying to get ptsd treatment out of publicly funded sources. This was in a good liberal state. Same situation in Nebraska or Missouri gets folks zombies up real quick. They don’t care about your life. Their job is to sort you as gonna get free shot and not gonna get free shit. They turn on a dime, too. One day they are refusing to do their fucking job because they think you have hidden riches but still want free shit and the next day they’ve changed your tune and you are the noble and worthy exception to the rule. You still don’t get good treatment for PTSD.

Keep the free shit if you enjoy it. I don’t care if you get free shit.

I get mad hearing about “horrendous” PTSD eating up women’s lives. It’s cortisol and progesterone. You may always have a wonky HPA but you don’t have to be crippled by it.

No o e has to be crippled by PTSD. Fix your cortisol and ptsd is contained.

Well, let's see. I have lived in four countries, have traveled all of Europe, some of the former Eastern European Block, China, Hong Kong, Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, The United Arab Emiriates, etc.

The 'horredous" PTSD has served me well in my life. It is a double-edged sword, as you seem to know.

I am currently using homeopathic globules to curb it.

I became tired of the panic attacks that occurred for no reason whatsoever. (The explosions I experienced made me hyper-sensitive to loud noises.)

As I stated in my original post, I have relied on the 'system' for 6 months, after having been 'declared' disabled.

Not sure where the disconnect is with some of you.

I am not looking for 'free shit,' or sympathy. That is a value judgement based on people who have not a clue as to Who and What I Am.

I found it necessary to also find non-medical means to help me. For me, those include meditation and yoga.

I do not rely on traditional medical care., short of the surgeries I had that were necessary.

I am sorry you have had difficulties, but am unsure as to why you felt it necessary to assume I was looking for 'free shit.'

I have not a clue how that serves you, or the other poster.

There are so many of us who are not a part of the corruption and who desperately need this food. I know youtube, hit pieces and females with Stupid Little Girl Syndrome/baby machines make it look that way but it just isn't so. Every time you call for their demise, you call for mine and LilMiss and many other good disabled and elderly peoples' too.

I have been to all of those countries except Yemen. Deployed to several of those countries multiple times.

I'm sorry but I consider all of those places to be great places to deploy and certainly great for vacation. I have no Idea how you can claim PTSD from a stint in any of them.

You're wonderful LilMiss even though you cussed. I honestly do hope and pray that the blessed people truly understand how blessed they are. Before my very serious physical injury and C-PTSD, I thought I counted my blessings but because I hadn't truly experienced the other side, I didn't understand exactly what that meant.

Yeah, I am quite sure homesickedness played a part after the experiences I had.

Coca Cola and Pepsi companies know that half their purchases at stores are on food stamp cards. They give congress millions each year to be sure this continues. Having an inoperable cyclic 5mm ACTH Pituitary Macroadenoma which throws me in to both Addisonian crisis and Cushings, sometimes on an hourly basis. and am highly qualified to discuss cortisol.

Cortisol levels are far easier to raise than they are to lower.

I'm happy you were successful in treating your issues but being heartless to those who are struggling is nothing short of self-serving. Everybody's situation and traumatic crisis is different and it is not the same as 'Growing Up.' It has nothing to do with believing that the world should be a safe space. Not all PTSD is shell shock. C-PTSD is far different from shell shock, etc.

Should we coddle PTSD? No, that's not what I'm saying and neither was LilMiss. We all have strenghts and weakness and it's not always a simple fix. Hell, cortisol levels is not even a simple fix.

Be encouraging or heartless, it really doesn't make much difference in the scheme of things. Cheers.

There is NOTHING healthy about canned meat, canned fruit and veggies, peanut butter, grains or high fructose juices.

Not all EBT people drink soda and eat chips. I am on food stamps and haven't touched that shit in 20 years.

PTSD is associated with suboptimal cortisol.
Elevate cortisol to optimal levels.

Hydrocortisone can be and is used to treat PTSD. It requires a prescription.

Google natural means to ELEVATE low cortisol and do them.

Low cortisol lowers progesterone. You can replace progesterone with otc progesterone. You may want to investigate xenoestrogens poisoning estrogen dominance. You want to clean up diet and stop using bad estrogen skin and laundry products so progesterone doesn’t stop working right.

PTSD—the kind that comes from combat—is associated with low cortisol. It is not endocrinologocally low. It is suboptimal. Elevating cortisol to optimal levels contains startle and intrusive symptoms.

I am familiar with cortisol's relationship with fight/flight/freeze and can appreciate your research and the fact that you have a brain. You make a good point and I am sure that could defiantly help.

And if you understand our concern about the many leeches on this system, you would react more rationally to efforts to discuss your reasons for being there -- which might be good, but now I doubt it.

can meat,powdered milk and eggs,beans,rice,bread etc.

No direct money should ever be given.

Its cheaper to get goods direct from the farm and cuts out the fraud.They can drive to a warehouse or mail the box every month.
