We should definitely be cautious in accepting anything he says as the truth.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and National Security Advisor John Bolton have vowed to strangle Iran and cut off all oil exports. They claim it's because of Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons and missiles and its support for terrorism. In a recent speech at Texas A&M University he finally told the truth about the CIA and the neocons - they lie and cheat and steal. So should we believe him now?

Pompeo saying that Maduro was about to get on a plane, stinks of a Psy-Op comment to me. Just a lie, to give the impression that Maduro is running scared, and to also introduce Russia into the plot too, saying that they told him to stay.

The opposition would probably be better off if Guaido was arrested or killed. It looks like they need something really big like that, then maybe there would be outside military intervention, backing up the opposition, Without that, I don't think they'll overthrow Maduro.

Maduro just announced that the coup failed, and the plotters would face criminal prosecution. Big march planned for tomorrow, so we'll see what, if anything, happens to Guido then.

Very interesting, speaks about how the few military who stood behind Guaido in the film he shot at dawn, outside a military base, were tricked into being there. And that the false impression the video was trying to give, was that they'd taken over the military base, which wasn't the case at all . .

Well, in some ways it’s reminiscent of what they call the ‘guarimbas.’ That is, they start out as a small uprising, small effort to call to the military to rise up. That never ends up happening. And then they manage to get some radical opposition supporters to blockade streets, which they’re doing right now with the main freeway. I’ve heard reports that they’re also blockading other neighborhoods, particularly where the opposition is strong, such as also in Merida. So this is kind of an effort to get people to to mobilize against the Maduro government, but doesn’t seem to be very successful.

I mean, I think one of the main things to note is, for example, that thousands, actually, are also gathering right now in front of the presidential palace in Miraflores, and to express their support for the government. And so far no military has–no larger contingent of the military seems to have turned, switched sides, to Guaido. And so it really looks more like an effort to provoke an international incident, perhaps even get themselves arrested, in order to get an outside intervention of some sort. That, to me, seems to be more of the strategy. And also a gradual build up than a sudden coup, which, like I said, doesn’t seem like it’s happening at the moment.

Venezuela's envoy to the United Nations (UN) on Tuesday said the attempt by foreign powers to spark a civil war to open the doors for a military intervention from abroad and impose a puppet government in his country has failed. The government of President Nicolas Maduro acted rapidly and isolated the "focal point of public disorder" and the country "is in total normality throughout the national territory," Venezuelan Permanent Representative to the UN Samuel Moncada Acosta said at a press briefing.

Maduro showed once again that "his government is the fundamental and only guarantor of peace and legitimate constitutional order in Venezuela," he said. The attempted coup "has no roots in Venezuelan society," as the majority of the Venezuelans want to live in peace and with full exercise of their sovereignty, independence and right to self-determination, he said.

The attempted coup "should be a reason" for the UN to convene a meeting, he said, adding that President of the UN Security Council Christoph Heusgen has said "we are ready to discuss that (convening such a meeting)."

The envoy called upon the international community to reject the attempt promoted by foreign powers to destroy the constitutional order in Venezuela.

So, nothing burger? Any civilian deaths from yesterday is on Guaido since he encouraged them to go out saying military is on his side. Its time for gallows now.
