I think most people would like to know their loved ones are gonna be ok if something happens to them etc. Unfortunately and despite me mostly agreeing with you, money does matter and for even the simplest lifestyles some money is better than no money.

I paid 2k for welding classes. Less than a month after finishing landed a job just under 40k a year.

Everybody wants to make money, but not everyone wants to actually work (able-bodied).

Of course, I cannot take it with me when I die, but my wife, kids, and grandkids will be better off.

I will leave behind a company that provides a good living to a number of families as well as contributing to the economic strength of the USA.

Building a company has been the most satisfying experiences of my life outside of raising some great kids.

BTW, my net worth is north of $1M, and that is AFTER going BK 14 years ago. I just worked, saved, and built a new company.

I never worked to create wealth for my own pleasures or luxuries. I live a pretty simple life completely content without sports cars, yachts, or plastic women.

I like raising kids, raising chickens, gardening, hunting squirrels in my pasture, and drinking coffee with my beloved wife.

I have 3 rules for all expenditures:

1. Does it make me healthier?

2. Does it make me more secure/safer?

3. Does it have a good return on investment?

Look, if you we’re as good as you think you are, you would have parlayed and compounded what little money you do have by now through investing, savings, and possibly bigger salary/earnings through a job promotion. The reality is, though, you have know idea what kind of sacrifice and effort it takes to build your position up and create wealth, let alone handle all the responsibilities that come with it.
