The Founding Fathers wanted whatever it took to protect our own borders, and they didn't want foreign entanglements. We're pretty dang entangled with a lot of countries. Trump might mention he wants to end some of it, but it never happens, because he's not calling the shots. And he seems more into the idea of an American Empire with a global reach than a constitutional republic. You can't have both. And you can't have a constitutional republic as long as we have a corporate government and its many criminal affiliates, e.g. the fed. The problems that many of these illegals face in their countries has a lot to do with the meddling and influence from within our gov (drug trade, trafficking, bankers, politicians' closet deals). You don't suppose it was a purposeful effort to destabilize these countries therefore sending waves of illegals here to bring us down? A wall will not fix any of that; our problems are far bigger. Well, I agree with you on most all you wrote. I am all for a huge, secure border barrier- but I know at this point it must be in conjunction with many other things or we are doomed. For example- the legal number keeps being vastly increased, the asylum procedure joke doesn't change and there are no real deportations happening- not to mention, no change in things that keep luring them here which could be controlled through e-verify, tougher enforced measures on businesses that hire them, no welfare or school for them, an end to the anchor baby/birth tourism scam. It's almost too late. I am just trying to stay on topic of this specific issue, but I think big gov. needs to be completely dismantled at this point. I had hope for Trump- but it's too stagnant and too much the same to make any difference, so that tells me that the politicians are definitely the enemy, as I had always suspected, and it should be clear to any thinking, moral person at this point. |
