When you drive through some of these areas that are water logged and or flooded its really depressing. The small towns were barely making it as is with boarded up store fronts, abandoned farms and houses, and of feeling of dread so thick it coats the houses and other structures with green slime, the black mold of death, and the putrid stench of mildew and mold.

Huge swarths of America is crumbling and dying. Its so hard to fathom that things could change so quickly. Change isn't good, if its bad!

What most people don't realize is that speculators make a ton of money "speculating" on the price of soybeans and other crops.

Controlling the weather makes people rich.

Controlling the food makes people powerful

Here in SE PA, winter crops could not be planted because the fields were to wet. Youth trout started today, but they couldn't stock the rivers because they were too flooded, they stocked the canal by my house instead.

This shit is real, the ground is saturated and can't hold anymore water. Period.

Ny has already thawed so they can take us off the map. Rains plus melting snows are the largest cause for floods here. We are past the massive flood stage. Lakes are already slow melted bast the shores. heck, most farmers are prepping crops and potential late frost that can come every year..

Imagine the amount of glyphosate herbicide (Roundup) that has been washed away from these fields.

Now that they have been somewhat cleansed, would it not be wonderful if they were planted with organic crops that were sustainably raised?

Organic animal feed, too.

We don't really need all the excess to export and feed the world (it doesn't pencil out when you factor in increased cancers and diseases), and it is way past time to start taking care of our own families here in the USA with good old-fashioned wholesome food!

If peeps already don't have at least some long term food storage and at least one robust water filter then there is not much more to say in this day and age but, good luck.

There is still time, albeit not a lot of it, to stock quickly before they are priced out of the market. The more who prep, the fewer to come after us who have prepped. Encourage everybody to do their best - scare them half to death if necessary - just so they have their own and are not coming after ours.

At 11pm Eastern Time Saturday night the 23rd of March, 2019... I just viewed a national radar loop of the entire country. Smack dab in the middle near Iowa and Nebraska is this huge cyclone looking rain with green, yellow and some red reflected from the radar loop. It looks like a darn hurricane. Check it out. It's amazing. So this thread makes sense. Nice find OP. Get prepared. I know gas prices are really going up here in So Cal. Food will be next.

Thread: URGENT NEWS: MILLION CATTLE KILLED BY STAGED WILDFIRES - Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, New Mexico

bump
 Quoting: Watchout

I think millions is pretty much an exaggeration.

Second year of massive wildfire spotlights need for more resources

"The second week of March made one thing abundantly clear. Kansas does not have the resources it needs to fight wildfires of the size and scope that struck the state March 6-8.

The largest of the fires, the Starbuck Fire, burned more than 500,000 acres in Clark and Comanche counties. Smaller blazes in 21 other counties added up to almost a million acres of burned grass, along with some no-till residue on farm fields. Thousands of head of cattle were killed, hundreds of miles of fences went down as posts burned, and outbuildings and more than 30 homes were destroyed."

Thread: KANSAS BURNING II: Crews Battle Large Fires Across Kansas; New State Record Set at 500,000 Acres In 1 Fire; 711,000 Total Over 23 Counties (Page 15) (Emphasis added)

That's just Kansas.

Oklahoma lost 3000; Texas lost 2500:

Wildfires kill cattle, pigs

"Kay Ledbetter, a communications specialist for the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center, said her state lost an estimated 2,500 cattle and 1,900 hogs in the fires.

. . .

Dr. Rod Hall, Oklahoma’s state veterinarian, said fires in his state killed about 6,000 sows in two barns, and the death count for cattle in his state is expected to total about 3,000.

I can't find anything on cattle losses in Missouri or New Mexico in 2017 due to wildfires.

This winter the ground here (near NYC) has been frozen for months. 3 or 4 months now. It's still freezing in the air, but even though fall was very mild, the ground froze much earlier than normal.

Usually we get about 3 weeks of frozen ground in winter. Last year was a little worse than average, but this year it's months not weeks.

Ice age is coming, I believe it. I want to move south.

Frozen ground makes flooding worse. Instead of soaking into the ground, water just stays on top and deepens.

The Mississippi River is so high right now by New Orleans that the Corp of Engineers opened the Bonnet Carre Spillway to allow much of the river water to be diverted into Lake Pontchartrain.

Looks like rapids as the water boils out of the spillway into the lake. As a matter of fact the spillway levels are so high that the flood waters are actually creeping onto U.S. 61 / Airline Highway the main road traveled by so many in 3 parishes ( you call them counties) .

Just traveled from Florida up the eastern seaboard, took backroads and its just one saturated, wet, muddy little town after another. Mold coating everything, peoples yards looking ratty, swollen and overflowing little creeks or big massive rivers all with quick flowing, dangerouly high water. Went over numerous bridges with unbelievably strong currents of very high water that must have been erroding the piers that hold up the bridges!
Bridge collapses will be coming!

People think if we are in an ice age they will move south but I can tell you first hand that the land south will be flooded from the melting snow!

NOAA Warns Of Historic Flooding Through May, 200 Million At Risk, Food Price to Skyrocket

[link to dcdirtylaundry.com (secure)]

We have never seen catastrophic flooding like this, and the NOAA is now telling us that there will be more major flooding for at least two more months. On Thursday, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration warned that “historic, widespread flooding” would “continue through May”. More than 90 percent of the upper Midwest and Great Plains is currently covered by an average of 10.7 inches of snow, and all of that snow is starting to melt. That means that we are going to transition from one of the worst winters in modern history to a flood season that has already taken an apocalyptic turn for farmers all across America. At this moment, millions of acres of farmland are already underwater. Thousands of farmers are not going to be able to plant crops this year, and thousands of other farmers that have been financially ruined by the floods will never return to farming again. This is already the worst agricultural disaster in modern American history, and it is going to get a whole lot worse.

What snow is, say, South Carolina downstream of? Perhaps the ground was frozen though? That can leave all the water stuck on the surface. Drainage in those areas surely depends on the ground not being frozen, because it has never been frozen there (in known history anyway).
