what gets me is that people defend breeds that can kill and maim, like pit bulls, and compare them to a breed that will barely break skin like a chihuahua.

"ALL THE CHIHUAHUAS I MEET ARE MEAN" great but you can literally just pick it up and toss it when it bites. It's apples and oranges.

but their "pitties" are such big, loving babies...

I find it strange we get so involved and judge mental of one persons path over another’s.
Why do we feel we need to take action because a person who owned animals upon their own free will and chooses to live with these said animals.
Why aren’t we condemning white tigers? They did maul Ebert...

We are all here for what is our own individual destiny.

If we wish to use that free will to rock climb, skydive, deep sea dive, etc...
All quite dangerous.

What gives us the right to impede another’s path?

If we as individuals decide to live dangerously, it is our own personal perogative and our own path.

The guise of “for our safety” simply impedes an individual from living up to ones own potential.

Maybe you die, maybe you become the best there ever was at whatever it is that is your own mission.

But why do we put so much emphasis on someone dying while living their own potential.

So what- they died. Their time was up.

How many people per year do gang members and thugs kill? Yet they continue roaming the streets terrorizing the people that live near them. More are flooding into the country daily and no one seems to give a shit about this.

Blaming the breed for doing this makes about as much sense to me as blaming a gun for murdering someone. Pit bulls are great dogs and ANY dog can become violent if they are not socialized correctly and are instead abused & made aggressive by their owners. Learn how to control your animals & properly socialize them and this does not happen....with ANY breed.

Some dogs cringe and cower when abused or threatened. Others do not.
Same as people.

Breed a pit with a doberman and you get the meanest dog in existence.

Everywhere I go I see pitbulls and many times the people don’t seem to be in control the dog does!
If ever there was an animal breed that should be banned its this breed!
With so many choices out there its irresponsible to allow these time bomb terrorist dogs!

...smh... people puck and choose what they believe from the media... I've personally owned two pits and been around them my entire life with zero issues... I only see issues in the media... if she got attacked by her own dogs, she did something wrong... I've only seen that with German Shepherds...and that was when a guy locked himself out of his own house and went in through a window..

I had one that was half Staffordshire terrier and half German Shepherd. I had her from when she was 6 weeks old until her death at 12. I was 9 when she was given to me. She adored me and other family- but she would never warm up to other people or animals and always had a muzzle on when we walked her. We tried to socialize her, but she was never easy around others. She was trained to obey and never hurt anyone or anything. I had a bond with her that I never had with another pet and still miss her so much. I know that some pits are very friendly- mine only liked her family/pack. I think she would have died for us.

The only people I know personally who were attacked by dogs were attacked by a chow, and a pack of akitas.

What a ridiculous post - you don't deserve freedom.

People own dangerous animals and often these animals get loose and kill innocent people - which is ending their journey on their "path" not just impeding it.


There are laws in many areas to prevent ownership of dangerous animals for this very reason - except some people are unwilling to recognize how dangerous pitbulls are relative to other breeds of dogs.

Professional dogs require professional handling. Nobody has a pet Great White they swim with covered in tuna.

I've been around people all my life. I have never been shot. I've only seen shootings in the news. People who are shot must have deserved it or did something to provoke the shooter.
