The core where combustion occurs is behind the spinner, which shields it from water and other debris. The intake fan centrifugal force directs water to the bypass section.

I could have sworn that everytime we fly thru precip/rain and sometimes heavy rain we select continuous ignition and sometimes bump the power up to 70% N1 or higher. Fuel flow

One or the other must be fake. See, if my video is true, then the second one is all hollywood simulation kinda like many rocket launches you boast of. And if the second video is the true one, then the first video is doctored because no combustion chamber would be able to keep the reaction going.

Look it up friend! Igniters installed on each engine and we have the option to go continuous when necessary to avoid flame out. Jet engine 101 stuff!

Those simulations are alot of work, editing photoshopping, graphics program are complex.
