If you're in the blast zone, you wont feel a thing.

It's more of a "WAT?" moment in the blast radius.
Should be one of the more painless ways to go.
Then you're in Heaven or Hell.

And as you say outside of the blast radius but in the radioactive zone, that shit is no good when the cells start mass dying.

It will probably feel like millisecond of sharp acute thrusting pain as if someone is pouring hot lead all over on your body.
