Greenland is said to have lost 217 billion tons of ice in July. Let's do the math.
One cubic mile of ice weighs about 4,5 billion tons so that is about 50ish cubic miles of ice. Greenland has approximately 661,000 cubic miles of ice making the July ice loss about .000076 percent. Fear not. Antarctica has about 6,400,000 cubic miles of ice so we will not want for cocktail cubes.

Spotted a rectangular piece of ice that is said to have broken off in what is called a 'tabular iceberg.' Broke off from the Larsen C ice shelf on the Antarctic Peninsula.
Wow, it’s been amazing to see what a splash our photo of a tabular Antarctic iceberg, by #IceBridge’s Jeremy Harbeck, has made.

A tabular iceberg can be seen on the right, floating among sea ice just off of the Larsen C ice shelf. The iceberg's sharp angles and flat surface indicate that it probably recently calved from the ice shelf.
