Coricosteroids will eventaully damage kidney and cause other problems.

Even with the limited use thus far, some kidney damage has probably been done which will not become evident until the body has been stressed by either illness or other means.

VITAMIN D3!

for the past 20 years I started taking up 5000 IU (international units) of D3 per day. a lot less in the summer when i could get sun.

since then, i have never had either illness again.
research it. i don't know how uch it will help for this current illness, but will most likely prevent future problems.

i make sure to take it with magnesium and k2. you should look all of this up though.

specifically: pneumonia bronchitis D3 magnesium k2 (or something like this).

most of us in the northern hemisphere are very low in d3 during the winter months and that extends into the summer if we don't get enough sun. sunblock and the scare of skin cancer makes this even worse.

Lyposomal vitamin c has a better absorption rate than these drugstore vitamin c and it want mess your stomach up with high doses. Put it simply we don’t produce vitamin c like animals do that is why you don’t see animals get sick. My family has been taking lyposomal vitamin c and not one of us has been sick or had any lung issues in the last 7 years. Do your research or better yet go to amazon and do a search on this product and read the thousands of reviews and you’ll find out these people don’t get sick either. Sigh ... I know. Even tho I toss the other scripts, I haven’t been brave enough to toss the inhaler. It scares me when she’s struggling to catch her breath. But I hate the inhaler too. I would love to not feel like I need it when she gets sick like that.

I agree that it is very scary when you cannot breathe.

But in order to solve the problem permanently, I would suggest getting a portable oxygen shot tank and trying to ramain calm when it happens. And I already know, trying ot remain calm when one cannot breathe is much, much easier said than done.

However, long term use of corticos will weaken the kidney to the point that 'modern medicine' (doctors) will tell you that they will need to switch to another type of steroid, because the one you have no longer works to shorten the episodes, ie, they have damaged you enough that now you need even stronger synthetic meds which has now created a deadly spiral downward in health.

Basically anything natural is good and anything synthetic is bad for you.

If you try the oxygen route to replace the corticos, then you should try to take some type of natural adrenal supplement which are available on the internet.

When using oxygen, there is a canula and a mask. The mask is better because the nasal passages can be restricted. You want a bubbler to moisten the oxygen or else it will be too arid.

I live in Western Kentucky which is part of the Ohio Valley. Also this might be a no brainer, but make sure you change your filters on your air conditioning. I forgot to do it a couple years and my breathing got terrible! You have to do it every six months. Honestly I think Air Conditioning in general is probably adding to some of these issues.

I am a longtime user of oreganol p73 and can attest to its efficacy. I wish it wasn’t so expensive, and I am always unsure how exactly to use it, but even with my fumbling it has proven its worth and is a staple in my medicine cabinet. I am DEFINITELY going to look into the lyposomal Vitamin C.

For the cough, rub on either Vicks vapor-rub or Tiger Balm on your chest at night before you go to sleep. It will open up your airways and lessen the cough.

I agree with you wholeheartedly about Natura vs synthetic. I also prefer food vs supplements, although I’ve found that requires cooperation from the water. Lol

Another poster mentioned colloidal silver, I second that, but I would mention, try getting a humidifier as well, as well as taking it orally.

I recommend 20ppm, I get fast results with it.

kudos for dumping the prednisone - works wonders on the symptoms but the side effects are terrible!

Sounds more like a chronic case of Mycoplasma pneumonia, Chlamydia pneumonia or Protomyzoa Rheumatica. I would try Bidens pilosa tincture, CSA tincture(cryptolepis most important), Coptis tincture and Nature's plus "Garlite". Start slow with 1 drop and work up.

Add High dose liposomal vitamin C and occillio coccinum to the regimen .
