They are saying that Mr Tong is a fake donor and the real donor is the Chinese commie billionaire Huang Xangmo. And that the Labor Party dudes set up the fake donations so that they could hide that they were taking a whole bunch of monkey from Chinese commies.

The inquiry will investigate whether he was allegedly a straw donor for Mr Huang.

As we heard earlier this week, another putative donor, Dr Quanbao "Leo" Liao, took his own life last year on the weekend before he was due to give compulsory evidence to the ICAC.

Mr Tong said he asked his bosses, Leo Liao and Alex Wu, who told him not to worry about it, and assured Mr Tong if he ran into any trouble the company would look after him legally.

However he said he feared repercussions if he did not go along with their plan.

“If I said anything I would lose my job,” he said.

“I was told anything you do for the company, you just do it, if anything happens we will deal with it for you, you just do it.

Mr Tong alleged Mr Liao, who took his own life last year after learning he was implicated in the scandal, had then assisted him file a false statement to the Electoral Commission when it began investigating the donations.

“I was telling lies to the Electoral Commission and the company said if anything happens they would take care of me so I just followed what they asked me to do,” he said.

One of the people they have been asking questions about is Chinese billionaire property developer Huang Xiangmo, who also attended the dinner.

Mr Huang has donated generously to both major parties since he came to Australia in 2011.

Mr Huang has since had his Australian permanent residency cancelled and is stranded overseas.
