For the last few days we've had earthquake weather (dry and very still). Yesterday I showed my wife how to turn off the gas. Last night I dreamt I was on BART and there was a long, bouncing quake, not too strong but which lasted a minute or two. A woman said, "That's not very strong," and I replied, "Yes, it is, it's just far away. It was Los Angeles." Immediately after saying that, last night's earthquake woke me up. I'm in Fairfield. Very strange.

Funny you should mention that because I was attending a job fair in the Santa Clara convention center when the Loma Prieta quake happened. watching the roof pillars on the convention floor sway was a bit unnerving. Then the glass roof started breaking up and falling. Most headed to the central bathroom structure to seek refuge.most of the cars in the parking garga slid a couple spaces but I was able to get out.

I used to live in that area. Thats normal. People forget there is a volcano there and dont forget the military bomb acccident years before that shook the entire east bay off old chicago hwy in Concord.

Much of the tremors or normal but bomb accident may have opened more fault lines in the area.

Im in Concord and it reallu shook. I have felt other earthquakes in the 3 mgnitude and wasnt phased at all.....It shook so violently I thought it was the NEXT BIG ONE.
