Sumtingwonger User ID: 74785151 United States 01/16/2020 11:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in Ohio and something like this happened about five years ago in Northeast Ohio. Early on a Saturday morning and there was a long and loud boom. I lasted for about 10-20 seconds. The whole house shook. The dog actually had woke me up about a minute before as she was whining and nervous. That was pretty unusual, but I think she sensed something before it happened. It was sort of kind of reported on briefly and attributed to some weather phenomena. It was spring (I think April) and there was no weather in the area. It was sunny and clear skies. I spoke to several neighbors. I brought it up and people felt ok to talk about it, but no one wanted to be the weirdo who is afraid of loud noises or conspiracy theorist. Strangest thing I’ve ever heard. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 73078958 United States 01/16/2020 12:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We used to hear these booms on the beach there back in the early 90s. CalTech and the USGS repeatedly stated that the cause was not earthquakes. The police and Sheriffs said they had no explanation. We all suspected that it was the Military testing the new supersonic bombers out there near San Clemente Island, with sonic booms as the actually cause. Another possibility would be space debris entering the Earth's atmosphere near there. If that can't be proven, then most likely it's a foreign or domestic military's operation of some sort. Are there any Chinese or Russian ships or planes in the area??? |

I have been telling my roommate that I have been hearing these booms the last several months. He thought I was crazy until I pointed them out to him. Now he hears them constantly and is seriously wondering himself. They happen when there are no planes around, nothing in the sky and nothing huge happening on the ground. I have felt the ground below my feet sink a couple times. Really bizarre. I have no clue what is hapoening but I can tell you it's very real. |
