I'm sorry that you took it to the material world and weren't able to read the conversation in the proper context. I'm a J-w, we know what mono means. Ah...I removed my foot from my...mouth? I apologize to you you do indeed know what Momotheism is. I attempted to convert to Judaism many years ago.... It isn't for everyone and we don't expect everyone to want to adhere to the 613 Commandments. Living by the 7 Noahide Laws are great for the majority! Except those 7 make their ancestral gods idolatry to be destroyed. But child molesters are exempt on pain of banishing informers from these 'man-made' and 'luciferian' laws. Ancestral gods are idols and not the one G-d. Logically there can only be one G-d, not many because then they wouldn't actually be all powerful givers/sustainers/takers of life. Child molestation of any kind is not permitted. I hate to ask this, but are you an adult sufferer? I'm terribly sorry for the pain you must be feeling if you are. |

Stop pretending to a humanity your people lack. I already experienced how you deal with things like this. "Honor your father and mother" extends to abusive parents, as I'm sure you know. You never define 'mother or father' but the obligations could fill a Manhattan phone book with two-point font, every one of them insulated against change of any kind by saying they are done with Daas Torah. Like I said, you treat people willing to trust you in bad faith. Every yeshiva student I've talked to goes immediately into 'how to answer the heretic' mode. So let them hash it out with the Cossacks once more, because that will at least remove the notion that lying makes them safe from their twisted minds. |

What you do not want is an open market for justice or notions of rights to appeal to. And you can't even stop the bad apples in your midst if they have done favors for the right people. Why bother? why bother...I am sad to think that is humanities motto now. If you do not wish to bother for yourself then you should bother for your loved ones (I hope you have those) um...I think the three or so of us discuss and rant at the same thing society and yet we do it from different viewpoints/upbringing/beliefs yet we all want the world to be good whether it is as God intended or what we dearly hope it can still become |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29605035 Please don't speak for me when I am capable of speaking for myself. We, as Torah Observant J-ws, are in full favoure of Courts that uphold justice as laid out by G-d in the Torah. If I had the power, trust me, I'd stop every single one of them. If I were the Pope I'd hang every last diddler in St. Peters square. If I were the President of Any Nation I'd line the streets of the capital with heads on pikes. Thankfully the Torah outlines the proper punishment and my human side would be constrained and my fleshly desires of gory public retribution would be kept in check. You can't even go to Gentile courts when the assailant is too powerful to touch! A man is allowed to hold his wife hostage by threatening to make her children mamzers, and the Beis Din backs him. You respect faces in judgment, which the Torah forbids, so why do you pretend that it has any bearing on justice or how you act? It is a closed system, which labels people who disagree with it as heretics and allows the community to vent its malice on them. You can't be trusted on anything, and none of you are the individuals you claim to be. Oh my, I'm trying to have an honest conversation with you and you keep generalizing. You have a very strange view of us. Don't you think that if all that were true people would just walk away? People walk away from things all the time that they don't agree with. We don't lack free will. You only appeared after the 'gibborim' appeared to work me over. They deserve to die, and you are ineffective at stopping their behavior. If I am threatened on every level for attempting to walk away, then why wouldn't that be the case universally? The majority of Americans are Reform in lieu of walking away, but Chabad sends its literature into the synagogues, and gradually the service is Hebrew again, the tallis reappears, and vocal support of Zionism becomes preeminent. There is no point in finding a 'happy place,' as whatever it is will be twisted into the same disgusting moral shell-game that everyone is already comfortable with. Sadly you have a very disturbing view of how J-ws operate and a gross misunderstanding of our laws. Most people go to the Synagogue that they feel most comfortable it. Most secular J-ws never become observant and they are gone with a generation or two. Chabad isn't all powerful, but a deeply spiritual way of understanding for the masses. Of the J-w's that do attend service it's basically a 3 way tie between Orthodox, Conservation, and Reform/Reconstruction. |

Quoting: Mr. Robot Except those 7 make their ancestral gods idolatry to be destroyed.
