Now, what OT verse is Mark 1:3 referring to? Isaiah 40:3. Here it's plainly saying the way is being prepared for the LORD (Yahweh). Mark is saying, John was preparing the way for the great I AM Himself. Mark 1:3 claims Christ is God, and so does Christ with His I AM statements.
