Matthew 13:10-17 New International Version (NIV) 10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” 11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. 14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. 15 For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’[a] 16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. However, knowing JWs like I do, it will be rejected, as JWs put the Watchtowers unbiblical doctrine over the Bible. Excellent scriptural match/answer to the question. |

Yeah that's a biggie. St. John 10:33 The Hebrews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy (We don't believe you, therefore you must be a liar); and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself (THE) God. Yes. They were acting correctly in accordance with Mosaic law. Leviticus 24:16 Jesus accused them of not believing the scriptures, was Jesus lying? As stated they were not to think of themselves as better than others but they did, and that pride with their lusts led to their downfall. As pointed out, just because you don't believe someone doesn't make them a liar. God said he would become a man and well there he was and proved it but instead of investigated they relied on their feelings and decided he was worthy to be murdered. Therefore they were not acting correctly according to the scriptures. In contrast, what I can say about Paul is that he did believe the scriptures, he didn't believe the witnesses of the scriptures fulfilled in Jesus. If Paul were on of the Pharisees to condemn Jesus to death, would he be in the same category? Yes I think so. But to condemn to death the witnesses of Jesus is he in the same category of unbelief? Yes I think so. So what's the difference? I think the difference is not that the priests witnessed Jesus first hand (because Paul has no excuse to not believe his brothers, he had every reason to believe they were keeper of the commandments of God not to bear false witnes), but because Jesus said this: St. John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. Jesus just told them that WHEN he is crucified then God shall MAKE THEM KNOW that he is the Lord their God. When that happened, they did not repent, but were fearful and remained unbelieving, denying him to the people. Paul, when he was made aware that Jesus is the Lord God repented. That's the difference. Jesus is the strong right hand of the Holy Spirit: Ezekiel 20:41 I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen. Ezekiel 20:42 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers. |

If he were forcing worship he may has well not have gave us free will. God Jesus is rightfully due his worship and need to command it of anyone. Please show me where Jesus told anyone to worship the Father God Holy Spirit. |

You shouldn't delete comments you don't agree with doesn't mean you shouldn't delete any comments.. and some that you disagree with you should delet, but opposing opinions and assertions from fellow believers helps get the information put and together for reasoning and rebuke and reproving and exhorting and repentance. The bible says don't even let them in unless they accept Jesus as the Lord, even God. |

The Hebrews had courts and judged, but the priests decided he was guilty before even going to court. They didn't want the truth to come out in court, where evidence of scriptural fulfillment could be explained, they were certain he was evil and guilty of crimes even before trial. They sought witnesses to show that the words of Jesus didn't fit their understanding, or their agreement. It was a kangaroo court. They lusted after control, (Jesus said they seek obedience from others and not the obedience from God), and those spirits are still around today in all the churches of every denomination without exception. |
