Re: Why did the Hebrews reject, even oppose their own savior?
The original followers were Hebrews.

The Torahless elite in bed with the Roman Beast System rejected Mashiyach.

I totally understand why Jws reject the FAKE christ pushed by Rome and the whore sisters of modern times. Even I reject the false christ as well.

Most of you are NOT even following the Original and I pray that YaH would open your eyes, ears, and hearts.

Shalom...

"However, brothers, concerning the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you not to be quickly shaken from your reason nor to be alarmed either by an inspired statement or by a spoken message or by a letter appearing to be from us, to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here.
3Let no one lead you astray in any way, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction. 4He stands in opposition and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits down in the temple of God, publicly showing himself to be a god. 5Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I used to tell you these things?
6 And now you know what is acting as a restraint, so that he will be revealed in his own due time. 7True, the mystery of this lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who is right now acting as a restraint is out of the way. 8Then, indeed, the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth and bring to nothing by the manifestation of his presence. 9But the lawless one’s presence is by the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and wonders 10and every unrighteous deception for those who are perishing, as a retribution because they did not accept the love of the truth in order that they might be saved. 11That is why God lets a deluding influence mislead them so that they may come to believe the lie, 12 in order that they all may be judged because they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness." 2Th2
 Quoting: DGN

The apostasy and falling away happened a LONG time ago. How many assemblies actually walking like Yeshua walked? You do realize that Yeshua and the Original taught ones kept the Sabbath and the same Feasts found in Leviticus 23. How many assemblies do you know that actually keep the Sabbath and the Feasts of YHVH as Yeshua and the original taught ones?

You see, the apostasy and falling away happened a long time ago.

Shalom...

the only thing that kept the Gews from becoming Christians is the stumbling block of the Gospel-a refusal to acknowledge their transgressions as sinful men and to open their hearts to salvation through the redeeming grace of Christ

That and they couldn't get past the "Jesus is God in the flesh" truth.

Yeah that's a biggie.

St. John 10:33 The Hebrews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy (We don't believe you, therefore you must be a liar); and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself (THE) God.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78147998

False charge of blasphemy. Because of Jesus’ references to God as his Father, certain opposing Hebrews leveled the charge of blasphemy against him, saying, “You, although being a man, make yourself a god.” (Joh 10:33) Most translations here say “God”; Torrey’s translation lowercases the word as “god,” while the interlinear reading of The Emphatic Diaglott says “a god.” Support for the rendering “a god” is found principally in Jesus’ own answer, in which he quoted from Psalm 82:1-7. As can be seen, this text did not refer to persons as being called “God,” but “gods” and “sons of the Most High.”

According to the context, those whom Jehovah called “gods” and “sons of the Most High” in this psalm were Israelite judges who had been practicing injustice, requiring that Jehovah himself now judge ‘in the middle of such gods.’ (Ps 82:1-6, 8) Since Jehovah applied these terms to those men, Jesus was certainly guilty of no blasphemy in saying, “I am God’s Son.” Whereas the works of those judicial “gods” belied their being “sons of the Most High,” Jesus’ works consistently proved him to be in union, in harmonious accord and relationship, with his Father.—Joh 10:34-38.

Re: Why did the Hebrews reject, even oppose their own savior?
One more thing I want to add..

The Hebrews had courts and judged, but the priests decided he was guilty before even going to court. They didn't want the truth to come out in court, where evidence of scriptural fulfillment could be explained, they were certain he was evil and guilty of crimes even before trial. They sought witnesses to show that the words of Jesus didn't fit their understanding, or their agreement. It was a kangaroo court.

They lusted after control, (Jesus said they seek obedience from others and not the obedience from God), and those spirits are still around today in all the churches of every denomination without exception.

Re: Why did the Hebrews reject, even oppose their own savior?
The Pharisees did not believe Jesus was the son of God and yet still we deny him as the son and have made him our God. The antichrist is the illusion so great that "it" will be used to spit out lukewarm "Christians" in so much that if it were possible even the very elect could be fooled. Taking the mark of the beast is the unpardonable sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

Those who believe in the rapture, praying to saints and/or worship Jesus as God are in great danger of taking the mark. Believe Jesus and believe his Father sent him!

Because Moses is their savior.

No! Jesus was even before Abraham. Through Jesus all things were made through the Creator. Jesus was the first of creation. It is he that searches man's heart and soul.

Yes! All monotheism and abahramic religions came from Pharoah Akhenaten aka Moses. Life has existed for millions of years on Earth.
