I would imagine most New York cops are demoralized and just going through the motions and will just coast along and do little more than they have to while crime will continue to skyrocket and cops will stop caring altogether about the public and law and order. Why bother chasing down a suspect or even trying to arrest them no one respects the law nor it being enforced not even the Mayor of the City likes law and order. Meanwhile NYC cops will be looking for another job or career path. You will see most New York cops leave within a year and there will be no one to replace them because to put on the uniform is to be marked for death and public ridicule and shaming. No young person will want to be a cop anymore and I can't blame them. It is a shitty job and the most demonized profession on earth. You get more respect being a STD ridden hooker on a street corner than you do as a cop.

I think it could be to late to turn this around..the seed of folks that angered by the police has been planted.
