Is the RED Sky from FIRE or is it something else????

Pretty sure its the fire. But maybe a Red Dawn foreshadwing??

A fire large enough to light up the sky RED across states seems like it would be extremely disastrous, something this large should surely burn up everything...

Rain creates a red sunset the evening before, if water vaporizes it probably creates the same, and mars is on its closest orbit spot with earth, so mars stays dryer, maybe it chats visually with earth while close by each other.

Bro, it's not lighting the sky up red.

It is called scattering.

This particular type of scattering is known as Rayleigh Scattering.

Due to the sizes of various particles in the air, rays of certain wavelengths are interrupted by the particles more so than other wavelengths.

It is literally why the sky is blue, and then turns orange and then red near sunset, and is also why the moon appears red during an eclipse.

Look it up.

The only red I saw was the Drudge picture from Oregon.

I got off work Wednesday morning around 8 A.M. Normally it is bright out. Total darkness with a orange tint. Every car covered in ash.

I was shocked and in disbelief. It was hard me to process but really showed how close we really were to it all. Nearest fires were maybe 50 to 100 miles away but made us think a little bit for sure.

It is a little smoky now but the orange is gone. Was a weird day and hope to never experience that again.

Ironic how PGE relies on solar panels and yet the sun is covered by the smoke for days. I wish these hippies would realize the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

OP it's from the fires. We are talking massive amount of fire here covering a large sq ft of area.

Maybe you have an eye condition?

We had a similar problem here, the smoke and dust and winds from the fire cause gnarley sunsets and sunrises. A LOT of people thought it was the fire, but it was actually just the sun.

where I am, south of Fresno, we go out a couple times a day to watch the color change. it's eerie. we have fires nearby too, cars covered in ash, etc. there is just so much smoke. the red skies over san fran from that drone video is because they are literally surrounded by the most massive fires we have ever had in the state. it's apocalyptic. sometimes the sky here gets a weird pink tinge to it too, but it's usually orangeish. it looks a lot like the pictures we see of Mars.

we can't stay here in this state, but we don't know where to go anymore. no where is safe.

They always show us what they will do ahead of time/time line. War of the Worlds ,Mars,The Red Planet ....RED like in the movie with Tom Hanks or like a Red state message or a Red communist...you can make a choice.. This has something to do with a new weapon system that charges up these fires or...is responsible for a wind event or super convection fire storm.We are at war with Red China ,so they send a subtle message.

in AZ we have about 5 active fires in our region and the sun looks orange to red depending on thickness of smoke and wind direction but not nearly as much smoke so the sky just looks grey.

in CA the santa ana's pushed the smoke down and so places like the Bay area looked like a martian dust storm might.
