My boys are grown with families. They still sometimes without showing vulnerability or weakness, inquire about whats going on in the world, how it used to be, what our thoughts are about the future, seemingly to ask if they are plotting the right course.

At their age the best we can offer them is to remind them that academia and social media are a world of corruption and that our corrupt news media is the worlds absolute worst enemy.
Usualy I try not to get envolved in my grandchildren's affairs. Recently with every manner of white shaming and bigotry ushered in, I have plans to speak at a school board meeting to find out their policies on things like teachers using the euphemism "People Of Color POC ",or terms like "white fragility", or "white privilege".
I wont stand for my grandchildren being belittled by popular verbal garbage!

What they're doing to kids via school indoctrination and social media is actually even worse than if they were trying to make kids "grow up" earlier.

You sound like a caring, thoughtful parent doing the best that you can to guide your kids on the straight and narrow. Believe me, there aren't many parents left who haven't been brainwashed themselves...I think most of us who still give a shit about the morality and character of our kids are from the same one or two generations...generations THAT THEY CAN'T WAIT TO GET RID OF. Keep doing what you are doing. It WILL make a difference. Be a loving parent and not so much of a "best buddy/friend" (which can be where things go awry). Set boundaries and above all else, do your best to set a good example which I am sure that you do.

My son is grown and he turned out great but just fifteen years ago, this whole world and the school system was much different. Social media and cell phones were NOT prevalent or even allowed in class like they are now. The schools hadn't been infiltrated by liberal madness as they are now. As a parent, I had it much easier. Back then, there was actually room for error on the parent's part and kids still came out okay. Not so much room for that error today.
For all of you trying to raise children amongst all this madness, I tip my hat...
