no surpise that he died... carrots "clean the soil" of toxic chemicals - farmers use them to suck all the chemicals out of their fields when they stop producing grains - and TOSS THEM ...they don't even feed them to their hogs.

unless they are "organic" or you grow them in "clean" soil and don't put any chemicals on them, you are buying poison ... I don't even feed my horses carrots unless they are organic ...they don't even drink "tap" water either ... and I feed myself even better.

grow a brian moran -shave yourself.... do some research before you eat anything sold in the super market ... or even a farmer's market - and for your own health, READ THE LABEL on what you buy ... if it has ANY "additives/preservatives or is supplemented with vitamins" DON'T BUY IT

I read in an old newspaper where a hobo who hitched a ride on a railroad boxcar full of oranges died after gorging himself on oranges.

Medical investigators called in to determined why he died--no doubt to prevent rumors of the oranges being poisoned--determined the hobo died because of the high fiber content of oranges. The hobo had taken in more fiber than his intestines could handle. They formed a blockage that did him in.

The men in China are fortunate to merely be suffering from ulcers. Each of the four men in the China story only ate about 17 pounds of oranges apiece. The hobo that died probably ate more than 17 pounds.

I juice my own Valencia oranges everyday, had to cut back though after the bottom of my feet turned orange.
