Queen Elizabeth II statue toppled in Canada on national holiday, marred by grim discoveries of unmarked graves at Catholic schools
I wonder if this might begin the process of Canada leaving the monarchy???

1dunno1

Interesting times...

Protesters tore down several statues at the Manitoba legislature, including a bust of Queen Elizabeth II, during a heated rally on Canada Day, venting outrage over the discovery of unmarked graves of indigenous schoolchildren.
The activists gathered near the legislative building, located in the provincial capital, Winnipeg, to protest on Thursday, at one point descending on a nearby monument to Queen Elizabeth II and yanking it to the ground.

Works for me. Hope they learn she was a hired gun of the Dutch slave traders rather than helping the RCC.

When the same system was in the US then it should dawn on a few people that the Church was not the boss of the way the schools were run, it was by the will of the Government, they alone allowed European doctors to use the schools as a lab.

Native American boarding schools, also known as Indian Residential Schools, were established in the United States during the early 19th and mid 20th centuries with a primary objective of "civilizing" or assimilating Native American children and youth into Euro-American culture. In the process, these schools denigrated Native American culture and made children give up language and religion.[1] At the same time the schools provided a basic education in Euro-American subjects. These boarding schools were first established by Christian missionaries of various denominations, who often started both missions and schools on reservations,[2] especially in the lightly populated areas of the West. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the government paid religious orders to provide basic education to Native American children on reservations. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) later founded additional boarding schools based on the assimilation model, usually located off reservations and which sometimes drew children from a variety of tribes. Some off reservation schools, such as St. Joseph's Indian School in South Dakota, continue to operate.

Children were typically immersed in European-American culture. Schools forced removal of indigenous cultural signifiers, cutting the children's hair, having them wear American-style uniforms, forbidding them from speaking their indigenous languages, and replacing their tribal names with English-language names (saints names under some religious orders) for use at the schools, as part of assimilation and to "Christianize" them.[3] The schools were usually harsh and sometimes deadly, especially for younger children who had been forcibly separated from their families and forced to abandon their Native American identities and cultures.[3] Investigations of the later twentieth century have revealed many documented[4] cases of sexual, manual, physical and mental abuse occurring mostly in church-run schools.[5] The National Museum of the American Indian also notes that some students had good memories of their school days, having learned skills and made lifelong friends.

But in summarizing the recent scholarship from Native perspectives, Dr. Julie Davis argues:

Boarding schools embodied both victimization and agency for Native people and they served as sites of both cultural loss and cultural persistence. These institutions, intended to assimilate Native people into mainstream society and eradicate Native cultures, became integral components of American Indian identities and eventually fueled the drive for political and cultural self-determination in the late 20th century.[6]

Since those years, tribal nations have carried out political activism and gained legislation and federal policy that gives them the power to decide how to use federal education funds, how they educate their children, and the authority to establish their own community-based schools. Tribes have also founded numerous tribal colleges and universities on reservations. Tribal control over their schools has been supported by federal legislation and changing practices by the BIA. The largest boarding schools have closed. By 2007, most of the schools had been closed down and the number of Native American children in boarding schools had declined to 9,500. The remaining ones are primarily under Native American control.[citation needed]

Ten churches were vandalized with orange and red paint in Alberta on Canada Day (1 July), with authorities linking the acts to recent discoveries of unmarked graves at the sites of former residential schools.

Most vandalised churches were Catholic, as coloured handprints and the number 215 were left imprinted on their premises between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, according to Calgary Police. In one case, paint was thrown inside the church through a broken window.

Because these woke idiots haven't got a clue. They see a statue and think colonialism = bad.

Colonialism is what gave you your fucking country you stupid bastards. If you're so against it, fuck off back to Europe instead of vandalising statues.

The Pope and the Vatican are more to blame anyway. The same thing happened in Ireland.

The Queen is the head of the Canadian Govt. They assisted the schools in other countries when the RCC was not around.

The network was funded by the Canadian government's Department of Indian Affairs, the schools were all across the globe.

The Royal Families around the World dictate through their higher ups. We don't need statues of Kings and Queens to remind us how corrupt they all are. They're put in place to make you remember who rules over you. So I say take them all down.

How many of the local towns people were treating the children like sex slaves? (against the wishes of the RCC) When the IRA was there, the British Govt was funding the Protestants against the RCC. In the Christian Reforms between 1300-1750 as well. The Danes against the RCC by using Protestant Christians, the ones will who align themselves with slave traders to advance their 'noble and moral' wars against 'other Christians'. Today, the same small group is trying to get Muslim to fight Muslim, so the World Bank can further their causes.

There are a lot of documentaries about the work houses and boarding schools. They were places of torture and horrors beyond ones mind.

Europe took orphans and shipped them to Australia, where they were tortured, raped and worked to death.

History has been hard on all people, especially children.

Re: Queen Elizabeth II statue toppled in Canada on national holiday, marred by grim discoveries of unmarked graves at Catholic schools
I am not a supporter of the monarchy and I am well aware of the connections of the family to atrocities against indigenous people, especially children. But it isn't as simple as leaving the commonwealth.

ALL of our laws, everything our government does is underpinned by the Crown, take that away and the government automatically becomes illigitimate. Our constitution becomes null and void. The courts would have no authority to do anything, the whole system would fail. Military and police swear oaths to the Crown.

The existence of the Crown and the role it plays in commonwealth countries is an obstacle to NWO rule and for several years now the attack on that institution is evident.

Before we can get rid of the Crown, we would have to prepare something to put in its place, amend the constitution and the structure of Courts, Military and Law Enforcement. That doesn't happen overnight, and you would need a competent government, competent and ethical opposition and politicians that put the country first. Unfortunately we have the most corrupt and incompetent government and opposition in the history of the country that hates everything Canada and Canadians are (or were). Personally I would rather keep the head Bitch at the helm than give these traitors a chance to rewrite everything.

The Crown is not the same thing as the Queen and the Royal family. Remove the Crown and our country will fall into anarchy and it could take centuries to fight our way back to having rights and freedoms.

Yeah. He is between a rock and a hard place. Both the Liberal and Conservative (so called) governments over the past 40 years have bent over to China to the point where our economy is dependent on China, but to keep them happy he would have to commit insubordination against the institution that gives him the authority to be Prime Minister and lead government. Every MP serves at the pleasure of the Monarch. What a shit show!!

Yes, no celebrations. We were supposed to hang our heads in shame over things that we had nothing to do with as Canadian citizens alive today. Any atrocities committed were done by our governments, public institutions with the complacency of the Crown. They are the ones that should be ashamed and let the rest of us at least remember fondly and proudly what a great place this country used to be.
