People cannot think for themselves anymore...it is disgusting. And no one will acknowledge the weird fact that vaccinated people are still getting and spreading covid..almost like that fact doesn't exist. How does one person not see through the bullshit that this is? How?

They do not want the money.

It will make many of them poorer for taking it. And since the government has allowed most nurses to work say, 16 hours a week as part time workers, and to call them for another 16 hours, this time paid in overtime, you can understand that these people are not interested in taking the money, and now having to work 40 hours a week at normal rate.
They will find themselves with less money.

The government let this happen for decades, and now they are trapped in a corner of their own making.

No wonder they tried to pass a law at the beginning of the pandemic that would make them unacountable for any decisions taken during the crisis, with a touch of "we can seize property and bank account for the glory of the state" added on the side.

So, this thursday, the government is supposed to announce if an accord has been reach to allow under certain circumstances the health care workers to keep on working despite being unvaccinated. That's what I've heard from my corner.

Either way, we'll know soon enough.

While we are definitely living in unprecedented times and no solution is perfect, the vaccines are, nonetheless, safe and effective. If we are going to crush this virus, nations must turn their energies toward at least a 98-99% vaccination rate, if not 100% or as close as possible, including shots for children in the womb, in addition to jabs for their mothers.

These selfish healthcare workers are putting all of us around the world at risk for this deadly disease. I too want to go back to concerts, barbeques, and hugging people. But people like these selfish workers in Canada are making it extremely difficult for all of us.

Optimally, they all accept the 18k bonus, get vaccinated, but then have the 18k revoked to teach them a lesson. Everyones patience is running thin.

They say in Québec that the health care system is about to bust, for less than 200 people in ICU, with a budget over 52 billions annually, but in reality, some hospitals now force nurses to work 24 hours out of 32.

And they can't refuse. The only possibility to say no is to have a medical paper... That you have to get in the 8 hours frame of "you time" you are alloted.

People don't realise it yet, but he system is dead here. Was on respirator for a while, but now it's dead. We are entering it's decaying phase.

I firmly believe this is just another chess move in the planned collapse of the health care system world wide. Another step in the 'build back better' agenda. Here in the UK we have almost no health system to speak of. No face to face GP appointments. Almost no elective surgery being done. Very little treatment for those with long term illness.

The US and Canadian healthcare system sucks anyway, let it collapse and we'll build back something better, cleaner, and more honest.

During the 2010s we had hospitals in the 200+% occupency during flu seasons.

in Toronto one of my fiends will be let go from ICU unit, in 2 weeks, only small # of nurses (50 or so) didn't take vax in her hospital.

Other nurse friend in different hospital will stay as they have 750 unvaxed personnel and they will not fire them.

Equality .... and democracy and freedom.

Both worked through entire covid, one has 10 other 17y of experience ...
