I think the problem is that most people never question or attempt to recognize and become aware of their own biases so they blindly fall into the left/right paradigm lie and become slaves to which ever side they choose.

All schools need to include a class focusing on learning critical thinking, recognizing the bias spectrum, and remembering all the logical fallacies and how to avoid them, every year from k-12. This one change in curriculum would change everything in our society for the better in one generation.

Course with common core and Bill Gates’ involvement schools are now indoctrination centers rather than education hubs so this will change never come close to seeing the light of day.

But one party wants and advocates for such politicization of all areas of life. Its adherents aren't being duped- they understand fully. They are collectivists and they don't see others as individuals with personal agency and rights. Collectivists inherently see others as resources to be used for their personal goals in service to their myopic, subjective and arrogant idea that they know what is best for everyone else. They oppose anyone being able to make a personal decision for their own lives, and want all decisions and all areas of life to be controlled by the political authorities. They can articulate no boundaries and no limits to this power. The ends always justify the means and freedom is what you have left over ( if any) after they make their demands. They see no need to negotiate with anyone - as others are just resources for their use. You don't argue with your boot or gain their consent before you go stomping all over them.

Pretending that both sides are at fault, when one side is continuously advocating for the curtailment and constraint of politcal power and clear limits that protect personal decision making and rights, is simply disingenuous.

The extreme right( total anarchy/no government ) is an extreme that is not much in evidence anywhere. The Zealots pushing to the extremes on the collectivist side far outnumber the anarchist. The Middle position is one of limited government and protected areas of personal domain, reached by negotiation, consent and mutual agreement with other human beings with their own rights and agency is not an "extreme" position.
