2021 was the worst year of my entire life…..

I’m also facing eviction now because I can’t pay rent, and 90 days late on my work truck payment. FUCK 2021.

I hope at least some of you made it out ok. It has been horrible for me. At least I’ve got my dog.

My bank account got closed from being overdrawn, got about two credit cards not paid in the last 6 months.. living at different friends houses on the couch.. even sold my car to eat.

OP, what you do now is literally spend 15 -20 minutes saying out loud what you are thankful for.

Being thankful is like a luck magnet. Seriously.

Just as bitching, moaning and complaining seems to attract bad luck.

Then after saying what you're thankful, like the sunset, the stars, your eyesight, your ability to walk, or perceive this or some talent you have...

Then you start declaring out loud how you want you life to be and FEEL IT as if it is reality now.

Then lay out a strategic plan of action.

And work your ass off to achieve it.

And you keep doing this every morning, envisioning your goals as if you have them. Counting your blessings out loud.

Do NOT then turn around and complain to other people. Your words are either blessing you or cursing you.

The only thing I have to be thankful for right now is my dog.

Several years ago, I had a similar year, it was actually a few years strung together but that last one, I thought I might end up homeless. I even bought a little tent off this old man at a yard sale, just in case.

I carried that tent around but never had to use it. Every place that I lived after that, was a little bit better and every job I got, got me a little closer to where I am now, which isn't wealthy by any means, but I am content.

When you get that far down, there really is nowhere to go but up.

I’ve tried to get multiple jobs. I’ve owned 5 businesses and don’t have a good resume as far as working for other people. I’m literally at my wits end.

Well, that's what you choose and tht's what you will have.

Be thankful for your eyesight, your ability to do whatever it is that you're good at. Be thankful for some experience you had in the past. Be thankful for your brilliance of building that business. Despite the lousy outcome, you still built that. Be thankful for your ability to do that. Most poeple are too damn lazy or inept to do that.

That’s a lot to do thankful for. Be thankful you rescued each other. Be thankful for good health for both of you. Be thankful for a faithful friend that loves you no matter what, etc.

I understand. You may have to take something that is below your skillset just for a time. Check with some employment agencies or temp work agencies. I had my own business for a little over 5 years as well. It is really hard to work for someone else after you have been the boss, but in some sense it is a relief to not have to worry about all the things a business owner has to worry about. And in time, I imagine you are young enough, you will have another business, you just have to get through this rough patch.

Right - good advice - and another thing - be very cautious of other people speaking curses over you and your life.

List the things you are thankful for and then the things it is more difficult to accept ask God to help you with them.
