Makes the copper in a nickel, about 5*0.75=3.75gram 3.75/28=0.13oz (drug math) 0.13*0.29=0.038$ Then nickel is $36.299/lb /16oz/28g = 0.081$ / gram 5*0.25=1.25g nickel 1.25*0.081=0.101$ Total for a nickel: 0.10+0.03=0.13 Did I do my math right? |

Coinflation .com is a great website for coin information. It lists current market melt values for Gold, silver coins and base metal coins like nickel, copper and zinc. It breaks it down for each coin showing face value and current melt value. Also news articles regarding precious and semi precious metals. Kitcometals .com/charts is another good site for metal values both current and historical. Besides silver and gold, they have charts for nickel, copper, zinc, aluminum and lead |
