How much is a nickel worth?

Nickels are only 25 percent nickel. A nickel is worth a little over $.08

Nickel content depends on the year.
Same with pennies...pre 1980 or so have 3-4cents of copper.
Pre 1968 silver coins are about 70%silver

they were worth 8 cents before the price of nickel went up 160%, so now more like .20

Nickel bags run about $50.

I will sell anyone, any number of nickels, for .06 each.

Makes the copper in a nickel, about 5*0.75=3.75gram
3.75/28=0.13oz (drug math)
0.13*0.29=0.038$

Then nickel is $36.299/lb
/16oz/28g = 0.081$ / gram
5*0.25=1.25g nickel
1.25*0.081=0.101$

Total for a nickel:
0.10+0.03=0.13

Yep, copper content is worth 0.3 cents and nickel content is worth 0.4 cents currently.
