OFFICIAL THREAD: The Johnny Depp/Amber Heard Trial

I got very lucky and found my dvd of THE BRAVE on Ebay for six bucks; it's a region-free Korean import and looks/sounds just fine, despite all the inscrutable text on the cover.

But, I've also noticed that recently Blu-rays have been popping up and selling for around $14... perhaps as a result of this trial and renewed interest in Johnny's lesser-known works. But be advised: these are in a PAL [UK/European] format that won't play on US machines.

In any event, I'm sure glad I found it!

A few words about Tina Newman of Disney who has testified [on Heard's behalf] that the studio didn't ax Depp due to the WAPO article.

First of all, in media outlets she's being called THE Production Executive at Disney when in fact the studio has literally hundreds of "executives" that monitor productions in all departments from wardrobe to budget to the catering crew... all the way down to $45,000/yr Production Assistants who oversee the "Honey Wagons"... truck mounted port-a-potties!

But, when I searched for Tina Newman's ACTUAL Disney job description -and responsibilities- could fine NONE. I did find some of her "Disney colleagues" listed on the Apollo.IO site including a "Library archivist" and an "Apprentice at Disney television."

Interestingly, on Tina Newman's Linked In profile [showing a pretty old and photo-shopped pic of her] she IS listed as Sales Director at Beautyboard, a Dublin-based "upscale" company that teaches professional makeup which even features a course on using stem-cells to enhance eyebrows. As one does.

So, there's that!

Movie productions are HIGHLY COMPARTMENTALIZED with dozens of department heads involved in even one single area. You need only watch the credits roll on any big-budget film to know what I'm talking about as sometimes hundreds of names creep up that screen in very tiny print only they care about. So, that's exactly what I read in slo-mo when I popped in my disc of PIRATES 5.

At least 500 names scrolled by, including Johnny Depp's drivers and two "Capucin Monkey trainers" [Joe Suffredini and Mark Schwaiger for those who really care]... but NO TINA NEWMAN, as in ANYWHERE. So there's that, too.

Secondly, during her testimony when she states she never saw any documents, had any conversations about Johnny's future franchise involvements -or even heard any such talk- it only proves how far out of the loop she was... IF she was even attached to PIRATES 5, which I doubt. In fact, in her deposition she chuckles and states that any decisions regarding Depp were "above her head."

SO WHY WAS SHE TESTIFYING AT ALL?

Short answer: because Disney wouldn't allow anyone else to do so except an overpaid flunky who could be counted on to say nothing that would trap the Mouse.

This should be a very interesting week with Amber's sister's former boss testifying and contradicting her testimony.

There are a few videos going around about the "bruise kit" seen in the photograph of JD sleeping on the couch with the ice cream, and also the rumor that Kate Moss is flying back to the States.

The body language videos are very revealing.

Timewise I wish I hadn't started watching this circus, but got hooked, so I'm in it until the end on Friday.

Bravo for Kate Moss. She's pretty smart and will help Johnny. :prayers:

at 35:54 he points out Amber's contradictory answer when she replies after looking at a picture of an OBVIOUSLY hurt JD.

i had NO interest in this trial but i listened to a few minutes of that girl Amber on the stand and it did not take long for me to be impressed by how OFF this girl was being...

the more i watched the more you can see there is something wrong with her mentally.
its worse than being a spoiled child, i kinda want to say even MALICIOUS.

basically this girl is damn twisted.
she THINKS she is intelligent and can use her words to twist the truth.
she is so blatantly lying it boggles the mind
and its getting proven, again and again.omg.

I noticed the same thing during "Io's" testimony. His answers were not only hesitant [just like Amber's sister Whitney], but his eyes were also constantly roving around so much it's a wonder they didn't fly out of their sockets... a SURE sign he was lying.

I wasn't going to go there, but am I the only one who thinks the judge looks like a toned-down Dana Carvey in drag? And Dr. Speigel -who is currently testifying- couldn't put on a better performance if he was Christopher Lloyd, whom he is channeling.

NO, I'm not suggesting that at all. I implied that the Heard witness from Disney crafted her testimony to cause the least controversy for the mouse studio and it's quite possible that's why she was chosen to testify in the first place.

You're drawing more conclusions than the "professional" -and paid- witness Dr. Speigel did... you're just not as good at it.

To answer your question, this is a DEFAMATION case where the plaintiff [Depp] has accused the Defense [Heard] of damaging his career -specifically with Disney and their ditching of Depp on PIRATES 6- through her accusations of domestic abuse. And that's why Tina Newman parked her ass in that witness box: to refute that Disney did any such thing.

Try to pay more attention, since this lurid little show is smack in the middle of Act III and there's going to be lots of rehashing of previous testimony this week.

Hate to break it to you all but "The AH" is taking everybody for a ride...

I find it odd that 1. you call Depp my "hero". He's a good actor, but not someone I'd choose for a role model... if I even had any at my age.

And 2., that you think you can declare Depp's a "high level Satanist" without being challenged for it... because you sound like as big a nutjob as Amber Heard was on the audio evidence and later on the witness stand- whose own actions/words are doing the destruction and not Depp.

You really come across as being just as big a package of damaged goods as she does.

BTW: that last "expert" witness was talking bullshit when she estimated Heard's earning power. She simply doesn't have that kind of box office clout and after this, probably never will.

The audacity of Heard's witnesses is staggering in their "expert" arrogance. All they're missing is the sneer we've seen on Amber's face all during this trial.
