So you can compare prices.

Markets are all well stocked, full with items. Prices are reasonable.

Hmmm. Since it is a smaller city, prices may be a little higher.

Honestly, when one lives away from Mexico, one misses our food and cuisine. Taco Bell and the Tex-Mex are very poor copies. Gringo burritos are a joke

I honestly hope so. There are no jobs in the US and it owes Russia, China and Iran a big apology for its transgressions, and they keep on poking them, so I know it won't end up well.

Mexico could become the biggest exporter of food to the US, and become a 1st world nation itself...hmm

That could be the plan. Then merge all of N.America into a super country.

No. We do not support the philosophy of owning anyone, not being owned by anyone.

We know if we help the US, it will turn against us once it is free from doom, and slap us after our help isn't any longer needed.

We learned how to recognize sociopathic behavior in nations, as we have desalt with them in our history.

I had the best tacos in my life in Mexicali. It was a little old dilapidated shack, and the meat was being cooked on shopping cart wire. They had all kinds of sauces and sides. I was thinking about making a trip down just for those.

OP: this is precisely why I shop a dingy little Carneceria up the street. The meat is locally-sourced, the produce direct from Mexico and the people there always smiling and friendly... and the prices are ALWAYS at least 30% lower than the big boy chain Kroger.

In contrast when I shop a local Asian market for similar bargains, I always feel like an unwelcome outsider as the customers/clerks alike gape at me like I'm a leper.

Might have something to do with Mexicans make about 35 cents an hour on the average and the cost of living reflects that.
