i don't hate them but i don't celebrate them either.

The expectations have gotten too large for Holidays.

We've all bought into the "magic" that Hollywood has sold us over the years and falling short seems depressing.

Best not to try.

I mean you need to have Disney-level animatronics on your lawn to have Proper Halloween now, with low-lying fog and a drink station for adults and a hydraulic shoot for candy and of course professional grade makeup and prosthetics.

...and that's just Halloween.

People who hate holidays typically come from dysfunctional families whose members RUIN the holidays and make everybody miserable. Arguing. Fighting. Blaming. Drinking themselves stoopid.

If you visit these same ppl on a NON holiday it's usually tolerable. On a holiday? Nope.

I am one of these people.

I thank my family for my hatred of holidays. They ruined every damn one. Even 4th of July. Every year.

There are other reasons than narcissism. I don't like the highly commercialized industry holidays have become. Its excessive and takes away the holiday's origins. But depression is another reason bro.
